—(••÷ ❁тнє ѕтoяу ❁ ÷••(— Elara's heart pounded in her chest as she once again heard the distant screams echoing from the cave across the woods. The bone-chilling cries seemed to pierce through the dense night air, leaving shivers down her spine. Swallowing, she turned to her daring friend, Remy. "We can't live our nights like this any longer. We have to go in there...and find the source." With flickering flashlights in their hands, Elara and Remy ventured deeper into the dark forest, guided only by the haunting cries that seemed to grow louder with each step. The trees whispered ominously in the wind, and shadows danced around them. As they approached the mouth of the cavern, a sense of dread washed over them. The air smelt putrid, and the sound of scratching and scuttling echoed from within. "A-are you sure about this, Elara?" Remy whispered, his voice quivering slightly, in anxiety- or fear. "We'll be fine, Remy," snorted Elara, and ignoring her friend's hesitation, Elara walked ahead, seemingly unbothered. The narrow tunnel sloped downward, the darkness covering them like a cloak. Suddenly, a blood-curdling scream pierced the silence. Elara and Remy came to an abrupt stop. "We're getting closer," Elara said, her voice barely above a whisper. Fear strangled them, making it hard to breathe, but they had to do it. Eventually, they reached a chamber deep within the cave, lit up by an eerie, flickering light. Their eyes widened and they froze still. A group of shadowy figures huddled together, their faces twisted in agony as they let out ear-piercing wails. "What are these things?" Remy whispered, his voice tinged with both fear and disgust. Just as they were about to run for their lives, one of the creatures turned towards them, its eyes gleaming with an angry light. "You shouldn't have come here," it hissed, sending a chill down their spines.
Really hope you all like it. It took me quite a while.
