Original shared date: Apr 09, 2024 Hey guys, today I'll talk about the Alphabet Lore community, and how horrible it has become. I remember when this Scratch community was unpopular and very good, it was in mid 2022. At this time only A-Y existed and it wasn't even called Alphabet Lore. It was just called "Mike Salcedo's Alphabet". Then nZ came and that was the saddest episode. It almost made me cry the first time I watched it. Then the compilation came out, and that increased AL's popularity by a landslide. My alphabet lore projects became so popular and I was proud. But then I became jealous because I wanted my other stuff to get noticed too. I've matured from that however. And then there was the Alphabet Lore epilogue, which made all of us very happy. People even made their own Alphabet Lore inspired series, like Number Lore, Spanish AL, Russian AL, etc. (Although the real second season of Number Lore came out in 2023) But as AL's popularity increased, things started to go downhill. Content farms started taking advantage of AL, and made weird videos out of the Alphabet Lore letters, mixing them with stuff like Huggy Wuggy, Rainbow Friends, and other overly milked stuff. And then of course came the other things that made the Alphabet Lore Community horrible, and there's a whole list of it. - Beggars, who keep forcing others to make more lore episodes - Harassers, who bully young scratchers and send death threats to him - Lots of innapropriate artwork out of minors - SHIPPERS... - Overly-repetitive lore series - A bunch of other users that caused a lot of controversy, like AlphaBeta, Jan, Noid, YellowFour, Super8ookworm, etc. (it's best you should just ignore and report these users. If you keep fighting with these users, then you would just be causing more drama). Because of all of these, most popular lore users like Soup and Harry have left the lore community and moved on to other things like object shows. My friend Aircat cancelled his lore, LHDA too recently. I've also been moving on from Alphabet Lore. I still like different shows about the alphabet and numbers, like Numbears, Animal Typography, Alphafriends, etc. The only lore-related thing I do nowadays is vectorize the new Number Lore characters that come out every few months. But I may stop with that too. I'm currently planning to move away all my Alphabet Lore projects to a different account. The Alphabet Lore community used to be amazing, and now it's sad to see how it ended up like this... This project is being re-shared for archival purposes.
