REMIX THIS PROJECT! I made it really easy. You can just add whatever effects you want to the custom block. Also, explore whatever mathematical angles you want to this project. (Pun intended) Click anywhere to place two drops. (Or drag your finger, I think that looks cooler.) Each drop tries to escape the others by sensing any object around it and moving away in a half predictable, half random path. Create ripple effects! I find it especially interesting when two things that are in almost exactly the same situations in a chaotic system can have completely different results. As an amateur mathematician, I also find it extremely interesting when I see the drops aligning themselves in particular patterns that conserve space, such as the golden angle circle, even though they’re moving randomly.
This project was a failed attempt to make efficient object sensing by direction. Basically it was supposed to instantaneously sense if there was an object touching it on any side, and determine the best place to move to avoid it, and ultimately find the most efficient and concise way to fill a space. But that didn’t work. But I figured it looked cool anyway, and was kind of a cool study of chaos, so here it is! P.S. Yes, I am aware that the drops do behave pretty much exactly opposite to how water behaves when it bumps into more of itself, I just thought it looked cooler.
