Their desire turned into obsession, when they broke into a Soviet lab with the intent of studying a bioweapon their parents were developing. But Nezo was also clumsy. They tripped on a cable powering a large canister and fell in. When the Soviets found him, they were dead. Devastated, thier parents spent all their time trying to bring them back. They succeeded, but only partially. Burns cover their forearms and shin now, and Nezo lost their eye. Their hair grew odd white flappy bits that react like a second pair of limbs and a cloud of noxious gas flows him around, inescapable.
