Have you ever played WCUE and heard other players talking about “NPCs” without knowing what they’re talking about? Or do you know about NPCs, but are still lost on a couple details? Well then, you’ve come to the right place! Here we’ll talk about NPCs, hunting, NPC safety, and more! First, what is an NPC? Well, an NPC is a, well, NPC that roams around WCUE (Warrior Cats: Ultimate Edition on Roblox) private servers. Some NPCs can be dangerous, and others can be peaceful. NPCs started appearing back in 2021, in the old map. When the new map was added, lots of NPCs were removed and new ones introduced, but some older ones stayed. Some WCUE players like to hunt NPCs for fun, or don’t even believe they exist. How do you get an NPC to appear? An NPC can’t be spawned unless you do a a special summoning specific to that character (you can find summonings on the NPC fan wiki!). Summonings do not always work, and may occasionally summon an NPC different than your target. Appearances. Each NPC has a unique appearance, although some may look similar to others. For some NPCs, some aspects of the NPCs appearance can only be used on a usual player’s morph via glitches, like how Blood is headless and Fearless has no ears. And now, what can NPCs even do to you that makes them so dangerous? Well, there’s multiple hints. So here, I will list 9 different things NPCs can do (not all of. Them can do every thing). 1. Kicking. Kicking is a common ability NPCs have, and all it does is kick you from the server but you can join again. 2. Banning. It’s not as common as kicking, but there are multiple NPCs that can do it. Some only ban for a couple minutes, a week, a month, or even a perma-ban. 3. Teleporting. Teleporting is another common NPC ability, as it is the reason why they disappear so quickly. But the teleporting NPC can only teleport to places it is able to spawn. 4. Changing/Stealing morphs. Some NPCs can change your current morph or even disguise themselves using it. The only NPC known to steal morphs is ShapeShifter, previously known as Skinwalker. An NPC that can change your morph is Mr. Smiles, by replacing your character’s head and replacing it with a creepy smile. It is not believed you can save such changes to your morph. 5. Summoning Mother. Mother is known to be the most dangerous NPC, and rarely spawns. Only a few NPCs can summon her, and only if you have done something to severely offend them. 6. Changing size. A couple NPCs can grow in size, even up to the point that they are the size of the barn. It doesn’t have any negative effects against you though, it just makes it easier to find the NPC and pretty silly to see. 7. Freezing you. Some NPCs can freeze you, so you wouldn’t be able to move. Not a very positive thing on a haunted server. 8. Glitching your screen. Some NPCs have the ability to glitch your screen, mainly on PC because Roblox is a tab. A glitched screen is also a hint that you are possessed. 9. Possession. Some NPCs can possess users on the server. It causes them to (sometimes) change their bio to P.L.E.A.S.E (name) and H.E.L.P (bio), or PL3AS3 (name) and H3LP (bio). It’s pretty spooky to see! And it is false information that possessed users can’t move. They can walk around in a random shape/speed, and become unresponsive. The NPC can make them chat, but it is rare. If they do, it looks like this: if their name and bio are P.L.E.A.S.E and H.E.L.P, they chat L.I.K.E T.H.I.S, with all caps and a period after each letter. If their name and bio are set to PL3AS3 H3LP they chat L1K3 TH1S, with all caps and all i’s and e’s being replaced with 1’s and 3’s. And now, most importantly: NPC safety. It is best you know how to stay safe during NPC hunting, to avoid getting serious affects such as banning. First, it is always a good idea to use alternate accounts while hunting. This is to prevent your main account from being banned by an NPC. It is also better to have music (in-game) off (some NPCs have specific sound triggers to notify you they are there) and head turning off. Audio cues. With the exception of night, you should hear birds. If you do not, it is best to hide immediately- as more often than not, it means you are being hunted by a dangerous NPC. Some audio cues also take the form of words: 1. “Stop”: You are being hunted by an NPC. Stop moving and do not chat. Close your character’s eyes and enable timid ears until you hear “stop” again, or wait 10-20 seconds. 2. “Stop, HIDE”: Everyone in the server needs to find a place to hide, and fast. 3. “Zero”: This is targeted to the person who hears it, unless the entire server is in a group close together. Hearing “Zero” means that there are either no NPCs nearby the players, or there are a lot nearby. Black and/or camouflage morphs are best in hunting because they help you blend in with your surroundings and makes it harder for NPCs to notice you. If you are hiding from an NPC, closed eyes and timid ears also help. When you feel your (cont.)
Account is in danger of being banned by an NPC, remember no one is keeping you in game. You can leave if necessary, especially if you are on your main account. The server owner can unban you, though in some rare cases, you can get banned from the game overall. When talking to other players, it is best to all be in the same Clan/group and use team chat and never use caps unless you’re doing a summoning (most summonings are in regular chat). Caps are safe in team chat unless an NPC like Mother is spawned in, who can read team chat. Always make sure to check the moonstone, moonstone orb, the kittypet lights, and the barn lights. If any are red/have a red tint, you’re most likely in danger. The best area to be located during this is the void (glitch tuts on YT!) Be wary if someone is possessed, and make sure they’re not trolling! When an NPC spawns and you are in danger, the best places to go are the void, the barn/shed roof, the spawn box, or somewhere in Kittypets. Void is safest of these options. Safety codes. Safety codes were created to have people not have to explain what is going on and type quickly, and are great for emergencies. Code A = Confirmed NPC sighting Code B = Possible NPC sighting Code C = Red Moon/Lights (Barn and/or Kittypets) Code D = Red or Black Moonstone, and/or Moonstone orb Code E = Everybody run/hide! Code F = Weird sounds. (Please describe them) Code G = Someone has been caught Code H = Leave the server, NOW. Code I = Plushie/Koi has moved Code J = Possessed Player Code K = Someone has been banned or kicked Code L = Please remain away from (insert location) Code M = (user) is trolling Code N = Harmless NPC spotted Code O = Someone heard “Stop, HIDE” Code P = Someone heard “Zero” Code R = Editor is not safe (some NPCs can access Editor) Code Q = Any NPC classified as extremely dangerous has joined the server. Code S = Got evidence for a page (means evidence for the NPC wiki to prove one NPC is real) Code RA = Editor is safe for now Code RE = GO INTO EDITOR QUICK! Code RU = If you're in editor, get out, NOW Code Z = Raged NPC sighted (some specific things can rage NPCs) Code XZ = Someone faked a raged NPC sighting Code MB = Someone faked a NPC sighting Code S = NPC(s) are gone Code SB = NPC(s) are possibly gone Code X = NPC sighting was just a hallucination Code XS = NPC sighted, may be a hallucination Code AT = NPC(s) has been spawned Code BT = NPC(s) have possibly been spawned Code FA = False alarm/False NPC sighting Code KE = Someone might have been kicked/banned Code FU = Someone is AFK Code FE = Someone might be AFK Code RJ = Someone is rejoining Code LG = Someone is lagging Code SFU = Someone is semi-afk Code ALT = Someone is bringing their alt Code ALK = Someone’s alt got kicked/banned Code DC = Someone disconnected Code LO = Someone is lost Code MZ = The host is trolling Code WU = unusual warning message (Specify) Those are the important parts of NPC Safety. Thats all I can think of for now, and if you have any suggestions for this, put them in the comments! Also keep in mind that you can go to the WCUE NPC Wiki and read the safety article there, which goes into a little more detail about NPC safety. I only took what I thought was most important and what could fit into this project. Thank you for reading, and stay safe out there hunters! Written by @Zacian_is_the_best_2 Source is the WCUE NPC Wiki and my own hunting experiences. I might make a database sort of thing with every NPC and how to summon them. Not sure if I will quite yet though.
