Veni, Vidi, Victus Est ___ An (admittedly very late) Ides of March drawing, posted just so that you guys know that I'm alive. ___ FAQ Q: What drawing program was this made in? A: Magma. It's an awesome program that's meant to be collaborative, but I really liked it's features anyways; I drew this by myself. Go have fun and draw something with your friends! It's completely online and free! A quick warning - there's no blending brush in Magma. I probably could've achieved the same result in 2 hours less, but what fun is that? Q: How long did it take? A: 3-4 hours, maybe? Yeah, blending without a blending brush is HARD. Q: What is the Ides of March? A: March, 15th, when Julius Caesar was assassinated. I know, I know, I'm a month late! Q: Who is that guy on the thumbnail? A: That's Pompey, Caesar's ally-turned-nemesis. Caesar was assassinated below his statue. Q: Isn't it supposed to be "veni, vidi, vici"? A: "Veni, vidi, vici" is a famous phrase said by Caesar, meaning "I came, I saw, I conquered". Unfortunately, it wasn't very fitting for the occasion. I had to change it to "veni, vidi, victus sum". Q: Okay, what does THAT mean? A: I came, I saw, I was conquered. Or "I had been conquered", but that sounds weird. Q: Why is this a month late? A: I did start this around March 13, but accidently overdosed on life. Wow, that was a LOT of life. For some reason all the tests are around March-April. Q: Oh my god! It's not blue! I think you just ruined your profile! A: :P
