hey everyone :) i know i've been gone for a few months, but i'm back now. i was trying to figure some things out about my life, who i wanna be, who i am and so forth. eventually after hopping around on different programming languages, game engines and even different platforms i came to a realization: art is dead. In fact, art has been dead for years. all forms of art, whether that be drawings, animation, code, its all been sucked dry of passion, all because of one thing: money. Because of money we betray each other, we kill, we die, we deprave ourselves of our humanity and kill our passion and for what? Meaningless pieces of paper painted by our minds to represent something of value? Art is dead, and money killed it. So where do we go from here? do we sit around and cry? do we console ourselves by saying that there is nothing we can do? no! we do things for the sake of doing them, not because they will secure us a comfortable job in the future, not because they pay well, but because we want to do them, because we NEED to do them. And that's how this all started isn't it? this platform, this community that came to be all because of dedicated individuals who did things for the sake of doing them, for the sake of their passion, for the sake of everything they believe in. So i ask you, dear artist. Yes, you, the person who just a few years ago was filled with passion for this platform, who got on his or her computer every day to see what others had created and dream and make things of their very own. i ask you to do it again. do what you are passionate about. maybe its not on this platform anymore, maybe its something completely different but whatever it is i need you to go do it for the sake of doing it. do it because no one else will, and even if they will they wont do it as you will. Do it for the sake of art, humanity and most importantly do it for yourself. not because someone else wants you to, not because you have to, not because of money or fame or anything else. Do it for you. please.
I know this may have come off a tad bit too serious but i hope you gain something from this. so yea anyways im back :)
