So basically bolt, aka nanos best friend and the brother of teri and pico, was always jealous of everything nano had since he was homeless and had a horrible life at the time. He drank the blood and began doing horrible things to her, making sure nano saw every second but since the acts he did were not a part of the ritual it caused wicked to be disgusted and punish bolt by mutating his wishes in horrible ways and making him deathly ill. Bolt begged for forgiveness so wicked gave him a deal, if he gave him his soul he'd take the illness of of him but he would not undo his wishes. Bolt didn't want to but he had no choice so he obliged. After wicked left him bolt used his new found power to escape to another country and change his identity completely. He made his way to the highest power and forced them to pass the throne to him or he would destroy everything, they passed the throne to him and he enslaved them and their people
