Title: Cabin 6 Chapter 2: Mysterious Melody By: Cobalt (Me) As the haunting melody filled the night air, Jack's pulse quickened. He fumbled for his radio, hoping for a connection to the outside world, but the static persisted, drowning out any hope of communication. With a deep breath to steady himself, Jack pushed forward, determined to uncover the source of the unsettling music. Each step felt like a descent into the unknown, the darkness swallowing him whole as he ventured deeper into the forest. Branches snagged at his clothes, and the thorns of the underbrush clawed at his skin, but Jack pressed on, driven by a mix of fear and curiosity. The trail seemed to twist and turn endlessly, leading him further away from the safety of Cabin 6. As he rounded a bend, Jack stumbled upon a clearing bathed in moonlight. In the center stood a dilapidated gazebo, its once elegant structure now marred by years of neglect. The source of the haunting melody became clear as Jack approached, finding an old phonograph nestled among the vines and ivy. The record spun slowly, emitting the distorted strains of the classical tune that had haunted him since nightfall. Jack's mind raced with questions. Who had left the phonograph here? And why play such eerie music in the heart of the wilderness? Before he could ponder further, a sudden movement caught his eye. At the edge of the clearing stood a figure cloaked in shadow, watching him with an intensity that sent shivers down his spine. Heart pounding, Jack called out, "Who's there?" Silence greeted his words, the figure unmoving in the darkness. With cautious steps, Jack approached, his flashlight casting long shadows on the forest floor. As he drew closer, the figure stepped forward, revealing a face twisted in anguish. "Help me," came a whisper, barely audible over the rustling leaves. Without hesitation, Jack reached out a hand, but before he could make contact, the figure vanished into the night, leaving behind only the echo of its desperate plea. Alone once more, Jack stood in the clearing, the weight of the forest pressing in around him. With a sense of unease gnawing at his gut, he knew that his journey into the unknown was far from over.
