Mobile is not supported for now. haha yes another school project, but it's a maths project this time. ✨ ~ Instructions ~ ✨ - Arrow keys/WASD to move around. 't' to talk and 'x' to continue dialogue - Space bar/enter key to fish (you can only fish if you're touching the water body) - Click anywhere outside the "fish caught" or "warnings" notification to close it - Click on the answering questions button to answer a question - To see your current statistics in-game, click on the yellow button with a down arrow on it. There will also be a screen showing your statistics after the game and the lower the "top worldwide" percentage the better your net worth compared to the global highscore - The entire area is like a 5x5 grid, so if you touch the edge of a backdrop you'll jump to the corresponding backdrop (like an RPG game) - Sell items you've fished at the selling station. Upgrade your fishing rods, backpacks, player speed and baits per question in the shop. Have fun! - See inside the project (at the very first sprite) for the rarities of the items you can fish (or else description would be too long) - Water body prices: + Pond (#1): (free, default) + Pond (#2): $50 + Lake (#3): $175 + Lake (#4): $250 + River (#5): $500 + Sea (#6): $1000 ✨ ~ Warnings ~ ✨ - uhh the teacher only allowed the game to be at most 10 minutes long so yea... there's a 10-minute timer at the top right corner of the screen (but in this demo ver you can set the timer all you want) - if you stay in deep water bodies (the lakes, the river and the sea but not the ponds - you may tell them apart from their shapes and size differences) for around half a minute then i'm afraid you've died of drowning lol - there's also a hole located at the bottom-left of the area so... beware - theres also a third way to die, but it comes with a sudden (0.000001% or 1 in a million chance) lol - Be sure to sell all of your items before the game ends! - There are 10 rarities; the rarest you can catch has a probability of 1 over 10 million - If there are any issues in the game that I haven't debugged yet, let me know in the comments! ✨ ~ Credits ~ ✨ - Me for the coding, thumbnail (the thumbnail text was generated by flamingtext.com), questions design, art (poorly drawn cuz I only have 3 weeks for this hugeee game) and the game algorithms - One of my team members for designing the graphics for a whopping 100 fish-able items! Though he and I took most of the item previews from Google, we rushed designing some of it and also adjusted the text boxes in the item cards - The other teammates for 11/15 of the questions and the visual images for the questions - Some random website from the Internet for the blurring of the thumbnail - Google for most of the images - Lobby music is Mining By Moonlight by Kevin McLeod (thanks to for suggesting this song to me!) and in-game music is Overworld Day from Terraria (thanks to for suggesting this song) - , YouTube and Google for some of the sound effects - for dialogue tutorial - The celebrities (like MrBeast/griffpatch/John Cena) for their faces lol - BIooket, Kahoot and for inspo - and for helping out and giving advice on some parts of the game. Check out their group projects! : : - And you for playing!! ok story time lol: i had to code all by myself and it took me a little over 3 weeks for that cuz the teams were randomized and I was... a bit too unfortunate. so i was in the worst group possible (well 2 of them doesn't like me cuz they don't like science and cuz theyre narcissistic, one is the laziest in the whole class but 1 is okay-ish) and the rest aside from me initially focused on making a generic ppt game they copied from online cuz they dont wanna spend too much time on this. all of the coders in class (, and me) wanted to be in the same group so that we could all code a gigantic scratch game, but yea the teams were randomized, so we ended up just helping each other in some parts. we were pretty isolated from each other cuz of that team randomizer. i wanted to code w/ them and they wanted to code w/ me, but yea... though i did not gave up and gained motivation from my friends - and here i am! 3561 blocks, 510 assets, 45 sprites (im sorry to all of the clone lovers out there), 179 scripts and HOURS of continuous work all jammed in just 3 weeks. oh my gosh you made it down here. thanks a lot for reading. enjoy the game! tell me in the comments if you got something like top <10% worldwide or you've beaten the global highscore!
