Chapter 8: The Created --- Serpent watched as Umbra went up to one of The Created. He took a moment, to let his power return, he needed it as of now. Umbra jumped back as the Created looked at him. Vine giggled. Ninja put his arm on Umbra. "These are the early stages of us. We cannot move, but we can think. We are worked on until we are deemed Worthy." Umbra shifted his hat. Serpent cut in. "Or, if you are deemed not Worthy, you have your memories wiped and cast down into the normal part of the island." Serpent gave a small smile. "We cannot protest, or have a choice when that happens." Fortuna was still shaking. Serpent gave a inward sigh. He banged his staff lightly, barely heard agenst the rotten floor. -- Umbra looked down. "Leon." he read aloud from the plate at the base of the statue. He looked back at Fortuna, who had finally stopped shaking. Prehaps the loss of his powers had spooked him a bit. He should talk to him later. Umbra looked at the rest of the statues. They all had a name, and looked like they were worked well on. But being able not to move, to think? Umbra shuddered. He was glad his memories of this place were wiped. He didn't like this place one bit. A slight rustle was heard. "What's that?" Vine asked, looking around. "You don't know!?" Fortuna practically screamed. So much for Fortuna being calm. Ninja scanned the bushes, his hand on his sword. "So much Things, not even just kits, are marroned on this island. We can't possibly know everything." Vine nodded her head in agreement. Ninja relaxed, letting go of the hilt of his sword. "It's gone. Come on, Let's go back to the village." Umbra hesitated, looking at the bushes. He then followed the others. --- Umbra sat down besides Fortuna. "Do you think Cyrpt could be here?" Fortuna shook his head. "The other kits would have found him. Maybe he's on another unknown island." Umbra sighed. "How's Craftsman working on our boat?" "He said in another day or two, it would be fixed." Fortuna fiddled with his card deck. "None of the other kist want to come with us?" Umbra shook his head, his hat moving slightly. Fortuna gave a sigh. "I would, too, but this doesn't feel right."
