a simple scrolling background engine, you can just take the background sprite and change it for a backround of your choice, to control the background with your character, just change the "x pos" variable like i did with the scratch cat sprite(left/right arrows change the "x pos variable accordingly). Disclaimer: if you want to use only a single image as a background, make sure to duplicate it so there would be two identiclal costumes, otherwise it will not work.
