Each slide represents another day. Started on 4/19/24. ★~Inspiration~★ =So around this time one of the featured projects was PGMA - Stumped, and I LOVED the pixel art. I found the palette that @Data-base used, which was made by another user (@-8bitsOfAwesome-), who makes AMAZING pixel art. I got inspired, and now I’m trying to make a game that’s pixel art. First, however, I need to LEARN how to make pixel art, because right now, I SUCK. ★~Credits~★ ➮ Pixilart for pixel drawing services ➮ Piskel for pixel drawing services ➮ Scratch for this platform ➮ @-8bitsOfAwesome-, @--Loot--, and @Phantom_Bowtie for a tutorial ➮ Some online websites for other tutorials
★~The Journey~★ Day 1 - Ok so I wanted to make a couple of things today bc I got bored. 1 - A ball. All of the sides are even, and there are some shades. Pretty basic. 2 - A slime. I feel like the color shading is messed up, but other than that, I really like it. Made with Piskel. Day 2 - (Sorry I forgot to add what I made today, but I SWEAR that this was made on 4/20/24) The master sword. Kind of. *In my opinion* It’s really good… all except for the shadow. I tried hard to get it right, but… well, see for your self. Made with pixilart. Day 3 - Alright, that first slime looked trash. So, I made another one. This time I used FOUR shades of green for the color shading, and tried to do it from another perspective. The outline remains almost a SPITTING image (exact replica) of the original, but the shading *in my opinion* is a LOT better. Made with pixilart. Day 4 - This is a rectangular prism with a shadow. The green background… I accidentally bucket filled the entire stage with green and couldn’t find the undo button. Other than that, it’s not bad. The shading is pretty decent, and the shadow is really improved, especially compared to you-know-who. Made with piskel during science class because my teammates were failing at making our presentation. Day 5 - I forgot to do it. Sorry guys. Day 6 - Forgot again. Day 7 - Alright sorry again for forgetting Day 5+6, I just had a lot of homework and stuff. Anyways, today I didn’t have any ideas, so I thought I might as well look something up. I came across a mushroom guy. I used that as a basic guide, but it was only the outline and the top. I added the face+shading, and MAN that shading is good. I also made this ducky after seeing another ducky in another project (but this is my own design) and tried some shading that I don’t normally do. I like the mushroom better, though. Made with Piskel. Day 8 - I made another ball; I wanted to practice shading it again to see if I’ve made any progress. You can’t really compare the chicken from yesterday to the ball from Day 1, can you? So anyways, this is REALLY good. REALLY good. Second favorite piece (I love the mushroom). I feel like the shading is real and it just makes the entire thing POP. Also, in the software I used (Piskel), you get a small view of the art that you’ve made (It’s really the animation preview but this animation is static) and the ball looked even more real, so I thought I would replicate that here.
