Here are some blurbs and art of the characters in The Blackest Night remake! They got some story and design changes (coughWillowbreezeandSunsetstarcough) I also might make some projects where the characters answer questions (except for the player character for obvious reasons lol) Protagonist (Player Character) -- A mysterious loner found by Darkenedflame and Duskstar with a serious head injury. While they did recover, they have significant memory loss. They end up joining MeadowClan due to its desperate need for warriors. Duskfeather/star -- Sunsetstar's son, who took over as leader after her death. Unlike his brother, he is gentle and does his best to be kind to all he meets, and cares very little about his Clanmates' pasts. The Clan views him favorably due to his sweet nature, particularly cats who used to be outside of a Clan. He views the Warrior Code more as guidelines than strict rules. Emberpelt -- Formerly known as Bonfire, Emberpelt was once a member of a rogue group along with her sister Ice. However, she eventually saw the leader for what he was and during their attack on MeadowClan, the two sisters turned on him and joined MeadowClan. Due to crisis, she was turned into the MeadowClan deputy despite not having an apprentice. Her kindness and wisdom have served MeadowClan well, even when she was busy with her son Sandkit in the nursery. She dislikes talking about her past, and absolutely refuses to talk about what happened before she joined up with the rogues. Darkenedflame -- Most cats assumed that if one of Sunsetstar's kits were to become a medicine cat apprentice, it would be the smaller, gentler Duskkit, and were quite surprised when Darkenedkit was the one to choose that path. While much more abrasive and strict than his littermate, Darkenedflame would never leave a cat in trouble and will do his hardest to help his patients. While he deeply distrusts most cats who used to be outside a Clan (due to Sunsetstar's death at the claws of a rogue group), he wouldn't leave a Clanless cat in trouble, either, and saved the protagonist when they were knocked out. He makes an exception to his hatred of outsiders when it comes to Emberpelt, and is very good friends with her. Sandkit/paw/fire -- Emberpelt's son, though he wasn't told who his father was. He enjoys healing and learning about herbs, and becomes a medicine cat apprentice under Darkenedflame. Because Daisythorn often visits the medicine den, he becomes good friends with her and eventually develops a crush on her. Daisypaw/thorn -- A former kittypet and pink-eyed albino, Daisythorn is enthusiastic and slightly vain. She has poor vision due to her albinism and is very sensitive to sunlight, so she hunts in the middle of the night in the darkest parts of the territory, using her other senses to compensate. Her albinism is due to inbreeding, which has also given her a weak immune system, and she is frequently in the medicine den. Darkenedflame dislikes her due to her kittypet roots, but she is good friends with Sandfire. Willowbreeze -- Used to be a loner named Willow, until her two kits were taken away by a rogue brown tabby. Willowbreeze joined MeadowClan, as they recognized her description of the tabby, and hoped to find out what happened to her kits. When a kittypet named Daisy decided to join the Clan, Willowbreeze was assigned as her mentor. She would have been a good choice as deputy after the rogue attack, but declined the position, citing her age as the main issue.
Amberfrost -- Emberpelt's sister and littermate, formerly a rogue known as Ice. She is bulkier and feistier than her sister, preferring to solve problems with claws instead of words. Her brash nature has made her rather unpopular with the Clan, though she still garners respect due to her strength and fierce loyalty. Also unlike Emberpelt, Amberfrost is willing to talk about her past in the rogue group, as well as her life before joining. Prior to joining the rogues, she was known as Amber and Emberpelt was known as Flicker. She hates the rogues, having not trusted them from the start, and believes they killed her mother. Silvermask -- A shy, secluded hunter who usually hangs out by the border. Evidently she's better at fighting than she appears, because anytime rogues appear at the border, Silvermask is able to send them away with ease. She very rarely comes into camp and really only interacts with Shadowfrost, though rumor says she has a crush on Duskstar. Emberpelt, for whatever reason, distrusts her. Shadowfrost -- The Clan's only elder. While he's actually quite young, Shadowfrost decided to retire after his eyes were clawed out during the rogue attack on MeadowClan. Despite his injury, Shadowfrost is very perceptive and is very good at figuring out his environment from his ears and nose. He spends most of his time alone in the elder's den, thinking, but will visit with his crush Silvermask from time to time. Eaglestripe -- The former deputy of MeadowClan, who left due to unknown reasons. He led an attack on MeadowClan prior to the story's start, intending to prove that his idea of unity was correct. Eaglestripe is assumed to have killed Sunsetstar during the attack, since he was seen with her body, but some cats doubt this due to their closeness prior to his defection. Phantom -- Eaglestripe's most devout supporter and his second-in-command. Phantom joined the Clan with his daughter, Silverkit, but quickly got fed up with being ordered around by a former kittypet. He left with Eaglestripe. Unlike his "leader," he views relationships as weaknesses. Sunsetfade/star -- A former kittypet who joined young after her Twolegs abandoned her. She was sweet, but notoriously stubborn. As Sunsetfade, she rapidly rose through the ranks and was made deputy under the former leader, Wingstar, and eventually took over. She refused to give up her duties when pregnant or when caring for Duskkit and Darkenedkit, and did not disclose who their father was. Most cats assume that Eaglestripe was the one who took her lives during the rogue attack.
