-------------------- ⁀➷ Aurora - Update 1 -------------------- Recently I found Aurora at a sale, she is a stunning bay AndalusionxWarmblood, and has the potential to be an excellent jumper. I was told that she had an incident where she hurt a child, and needed a bit of extra attention and re-training to some degree. So I brought Aurora home, and finally had the opportunity today to work with her! I had expected Aurora to be finicky, due to her still being quite new to the estate, and I had to run a bit to catch her. Once she was safely in a halter, I led her to the arena, where I tacked her up and mounted her. She had grown used to me over the past couple of weeks, but this was the first time that I had actually ridden her. She was perfectly fine, obeying the slightest command and never breaking off or rearing up. I took her for a run around the arena, which she took well, then asked one of the stable hands to set up a relatively small jump. I took her up to it, and she did hesitate slightly before jumping, causing her to nick her back hoof on the bar, but it didn't fall. I'm very impressed with Aurora's performance with her first ride, and I'll be sure to continue riding her regularly to build up her confidence, endurance and help her relax a bit more in her new environment. --------------------
