⁺˚⋆。°✩₊ PRESS SPACE OR THE PROJECT TO FLIP THOUGH. Right = Forward Left = Go back ⁺˚⋆。°✩₊ -------------------_.+-★HOW I DESIGN★-+._---------------------- TABLE OF CONTENTS: 1. Introduction 2. Step By Step How I design 3. Credits -.+★+.- HELLO!!! It's the wonder, the great and powerful, TREVER /ref. Im here today with how I design!! I think I'm going to make this like. A mini-series on how I do, well. What I do! And this was fun to make? And it was quick! But I want to know how you guys feel :3 so feel free to comment. And give some constructive criticism! Cuz, we can all improve one way or another. ^^ !! And sorry if the text is hard to read. There wasn't a lot of space to put it- lol So! Here we go! -.+★+.- 1. First I have my moodboard. You dont have to start with one. (Most of my designs that are for my personal use, Dont use a mood board. But they are based on something!! If not, they are inspired off on whatever :3) But this design I'm showing you was required to have one! 2. Then I create my color palette! When I have a moodboard I usually take the colors from the moodboard. if I'm not using a moodboard I take the color from the image, song etc. Or if I have my inspo ref, I just make a color palette out of a generator/my brain!! This is when I also brainstormed how I want to character to look. What their personality will be like, And their fashion. Maybe even their animal breed!! 3. Then I make my sketch. I also write down any notes/ideas I want to add to the design so I dont forget! 4. After I'm done with the sketch I do my line art. I also add any additions (ex: the horns & wings I added) 5. (I changed the palette cuz I didn't like the colors anymore) All I did here was hide the inspo and get ready to color. This is also when I add and clean the line art 6. Basic color base. At this stage I experiment with the colors, Seeing what is best!!!! Dont be afraid to play around and try something out! I only got good at design cuz I tried out a lot of stuff. And sometimes what you think might look bad will look great! 7. Stage 2 (As I call it) Of coloring this is where I see the personality come out. and ofc what their making is going to be. Again dont be afraid to try stuff out! 8. Stage 3. This is when I finalize the colors, Clean the colors, add more to the design like how I added stripes, and anything else necessary! This is the final coloring stage for me. Pretty much "finalizing" everything 9. Now to like. My fave part- ACCESSORIES!!! (or the clothes :3) Love this part because I get to research a little bit on fashion! Because this character is based on the 50's / 70's I picked a popular outfit the men in the generation would wear!!! This also helps see what the characters are like! 10. Once I'm done with the outline of the clothes, I color it. I used many of the outfits on the far right, Usually, I make my own outfits but I was lazy :,3 11. Then I'm done! This is where I set it out to look nicer. (+ I also changed the size of the canvas) Then I add the background. For designs that I use a mood board, I just the mood board as the background! -.+★+.- Credits below.
