Chapter 9 - On Our Way --- Umbra climbed up the ladder. It was a decently windy day, the sun had risen, and the whole of The Forgotton kits had come to see them off. Even Serpent. Craftsmen waved at Umbra and Fortuna. "We can't thank all of you enough." Umbra announced to the crowd. "I hope we can vist you again." Fortuna joined Umbra, nodding. Fortuna tied the sail. Serpent smiled, and spoke softly in Umbra's ear. "You're welcome, very much." Serpent climbed down. Umbra looked after him, confused. -- With one last wave, Fortuna cut the rope binding the boat. The kits cheered, waving them goodbye until Fortuna couldn't see the island anymore. Umbra tied the sail. "We're heading East." Fortuna stood on the bow of the boat, looking at the water below. As they got further, Fortuna felt as if an invisbale weight was being taken off him, and Fortuna smiled. "What's up?" Umbra asked, joining him. "I feel like we're heading towards the right direction." The sea seemed endless, streeching an infinite distance as far as Fortuna could sea. (pun intended) Soon, the sunset had come apon them, sparkling, turning the waters surrounding them crimson, gold, and the sky pink. "You're on Night duty." Umbra bolted towards the hatch. "See you tomorrow." Fortuna nodded. "I won't crash the boat." Umbra laughed and shut the hatch with a clink. -- Fortuna yawned. He should have slept in the daytime. The stars were covered above him by clouds. The moon, partially hidden. [noise] Fortuna looked around. "Umbra?" Silence. Fortuna sighed. [noise] Fortuna sat up, scanning the boat. "Who's there?" he said softly, the wood creaking under him. [noise] --
