Hi! I'm Glen @NorthGlens, I use she/her pronouns and Im a senior in highschool this year, still on my battle cats kick haha- In connection to this litter, I enjoy star gazing, though I can't name many of the constellations. I dont have much else to say about myself! Astra time! ---------------------------------------------- AD ASTRA -To the stars-------- ----------------------------------- Astra wants to live life, and she wants to experience every little bit of it. Thats my main concept for her, and I'll detail out her personality better in the N&C but I wanted to start with some plot lines and ideas! Being raised away from camp has the perk of being much harder to keep track of- Harpyveil would have a difficult time keeping her from slipping away from supervision to better get to know her home. From these trips she would come back with an assorted collection of scrapes, bruises and collectables with which to fill their little home and show off/share with her siblings. On that note, given that its okay with the admins, I would love for her to do berry juice dye paintings across the tunnel walls? Or drag a big stone in if the dirt walls pose a problem for that. because of this I think her front paws would often be spattered with muddied berry colors. She might collect dandelions and keep them in her fur during spring because they're so good for yellow dye. (seasonal accessories?) She wants to be the center of attention, and she's always on the lookout for a good story she can tell to pull more attention towards her. She likes stories in general, but her favorite are the ones that lock peoples gaze on her. While she likes to have peoples attention when shes spinning a story- shes a showman in that way- she often will brush off responsibilities to disappear and discover the world. She may come home with Harpyveil to the clan, but i dont think she'll ever consider that a huge commitment. She'll be in and out of camp, and often will sleep out on loner territory, or in the forest. Honestly I want to collect stories with her! Once in a while I'll send her out on an adventure, maybe with a friend, and then write up an exaggerated version of the tale. Shes happy to share them, and always has one to tell, or an anecdote from one to fit the situation. Her responsibilities are permanently on the backburner, and I might consider asking if her apprenticeship could be lengthened because she is in cannon not doing the work required to graduate. I think it would be silly of her! It could also be a reason for her to have character development. I think she would shy away from dealing with anything that made her feel negative emotions. She’s not a fan of them, and so she avoids them- boredom, grief, being tired? Definitely would just let those things build up until they crushed her. This would apply with others too, and she might honestly get frustrated if someone started complaining at her about something, regardless of severity. She might be honestly embarrassed to share that she feels things strongly like that when they do build up? Because she has an image of herself in her mind that is so exaggerated and inhuman (in-feline?) and she wouldn't expect that hero adventurer to feel bad. I would say that she does want to be loved, like everyone else. Shes just a bit drifty, and would prefer to be out in the world then working to build real relationships. She considers sharing the spoils of her trips enough to hold up relationships, and that might have to be something she learns to change. She has a huge sense of wonder, and though shes full of lies deceit and exaggeration, she has a lot of respect for the reality of the world. Big open skies and pines that have been alive for longer than a cat with a 20 year lifespan can fathom. She winds these things into her stories, pulling her exaggerations from them often. Specific things I think would fascinate her - The ocean, and its endlessness - Where the moon and sun go to rest - huge trees and the saplings/acorns they come from (Maybe she could plant one as a kit and watch it grow over her life?) - the sky and where it ends - what clouds are - fireflies (They glow like her mom!) - on that note her glowing mother She might be over attached to childhood, and not be a fan of the idea of growing up, peter pan style. Given that she'll probably have to change her name, I think it should be fun to have that distinct seperation between childhood and maturity. On the matter of names, I might lean into fae rules with her just a little bit- she finds names to be a large part of identity, and their origins to be important. This is mostly I want to her to ask Harpyveil to rename her if she does have to change her name for Windclan, but I think it could spread past that initial intention. For people outside her group/family I can see her having a stage name that she prefers them to use, with the real name being a meaningful thing that she shares with people she's close to.
-- Personality -- (+) Appreciative (+) Creative (+) Confident (=) Exagerated (=) Storyteller (=) Showman (-) Deceitful (-) Lacks emotional intellegence (-) Neglectful Her general demeanor wouldn't be too high energy in the way she moves, neutral body language when not putting on a show. The minute shes playing something up you can read it off her body language- she plays into it. Same idea with the way she speaks! Song is The Open Sky by Peat Residents Extras that wouldn't fit: She has high expectations of herself, she wants to be the big-picture image that she has built in her stories. That, and a desire to be reasonably self-sufficient. I think she would want to hold a funeral for her mother, and that she would be rather distant for the first moon of her adopted life. It might take a bit of effort for her to accept that she can have two mamas that never met. She would put on a brave face, because when tragedy struck in the stories her mother used to tell, that was when the protagonist's story began. She would miss her more than anything. Her stories would hold a particular theme of caretaking/family relationships for a while. :] I honestly think with her background she might consider herself a 'hero' like from the stories and want to protect her little siblings and mother alike- probably to little avail and with a very frightened undertone if she actually ever had to. Here is a (currently one) story her mother would have told her, I would want to write more and have her reference them often :D! https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1023750773/ She would compare cats to the characters in these and often reference things from them. For example, from this one, she might have an ancedote like 'Solsta wasn't built in a day' or something of the sort haha-
