Honeyfern listened intently to her ancestors as they spoke, “Only the strongest Clan may save the others.” A lithe blue-gray she-cat spoke, her eyes gleaming with starlight. “And the prophesied cats will awaken.” The she-cat meowed, her blue gaze filled with countless moons of wisdom. “But who, Mistystar?” Honeyfern urged, “Who are these cats?” “We don’t know everything,” Mistystar sighed, flicking her tail. “These cats are foretold to bring greatness to the Clans. But also great destruction.” Honeyfern looked desperately at Mistystar, her fur bristling. Her eyes widened in dismay. “Destruction?” “It will be okay,” A dappled tabby she-cat stepped out of the shadows, her golden fur glowing in the moonlight. “We trust that Riverclan will survive this, and help the other Clans survive as well.” “Lepardstar!” Honeyfern purred, flicking her tail in greeting. Lepardstar turned her amber gaze on Honeyfern. “Our Clan must stay strong, Honeyfern.” She rested her tail tip on Honeyfern’s shoulder. Before Honeyfern could reply, Mistystar and Lepardstar were already fading; until all she could see was whisps of starlight. “Wait!” She wailed, “Lepardstar! Mistystar!” After they disappeared, she heard Mistystar’s whisper gently in her ear. The Dawn is coming. The Storm will break, kindling the flower’s gentle petals to grow. - END OF PROLOGUE - Credit to - - Me for the art - Me and my sister for the story - Based on Warriors by Erin Hunter
