Random Arizona History Stuff! Arizona once had a war with California twice actually the first one was the Civil war and the other one wasn't actually a war it was just the two states fighting over water rights and stuff. Yet Arizona did do the unmarkable by sending people on boats even telling them to threaten Californian workers who were building the Parker dam, that was called by some the California-Arizona war due to how ridiculous Arizona reacted basically. Later on the two states will continue to fight each other over the Colorado River. What their siblings of course they're gonna fight! Arizona was once apart of NM until AZ splited away in the Civil war and sided with the other southern states. Overtime the US kept trying to reunite Arizona with New Mexico, some of the reasons were... Uhm... Something... Arizona could have been reunited with NM but didn't since well, it's a state today. Also Arizona had huge troubles trying to gain statehood as well, since there were many reasons that the government say on why AZ couldn't become a state, to Arizona it seem unfair but oh well. It also took AZ like 50 years to become a state. Pleasant Valley war. This war wasn't even a war it was a family feud. Basically there were two families who lived in Arizona Territory and then out of nowhere began to call each other out for stealing each other cattle and stuff. Later on the families began to kill each other and this lasted on 1882 to 1892. But one man lived who go of the name of Edwin Tewksbury. This even declined Arizona statehood for 15 years since how deadly it was.
