This is in a more recent world, the land of Falcippia I started this one when I did another cc, Numb CC--Crescent. Serila was only mentioned, but now she gets the spotlight... Serila pounded up the mountain slopes, staying as far from the ravine as the path would allow. She was a forest cat, and while she could climb up and down the massive trees of Ral'Makai with no trouble, this ravine set her on edge. Carried down by the wind, the wails of kits reached her ears. Serila let out a hiss and pushed harder, ignoring the pain in her scratched, sore pads. 'Mistle, Sulera, Morgail... I'm coming.' She thought. Those where her kits. Her kits were somewhere in these gods forsaken mountains, with a cat who did not mean them good. Why Sho'lor had brought them to the mountains of the beast, Serila would never know. But the WHY didn't matter, the how-she-was-getting-them-back did. "No! I don't want to go any farther!" Morgail's deep voice yowled. Serila could just picture her son glaring at Sho'lor in rage. "You aren't our father, and our mother isn't anywhere near here!" "No, she's coming." Sho'lor purred silkily. "She's coming..." "I'm here!" Serila yowled, rounding the corner and slamming into the ginger tom. "Curse you, for stealing my kits! Why come to the mountains of the beast?! Surely you could have gone back to Rilssia!" Sho'lor pushed her back with a snarl and leaped away. Serila leaped to her kits side, ushering them away from the ravine. Her sense of dislike for that ravine was steadily growing into hatred. Still, her back was turned to it. "Don't make me call for help!" Serila warned the ginger tom. "HA! From who?! Your precious gods? The ones who gave up on ME as a kit?!" Sho'lor laughed, all silkiness gone from his tone. "They gave up on you because you follow the evil one!" Serila yowled. "And where as that gotten you?! You lost EVERYTHING!" Sho'lor smiled evilly. "I have my kits." "They aren't you're kits! Never have, never will!" Serila hissed, flattening her silver striped ears. An indifferent look crossed Sho'lor's face. "Oh?" In that instant, something exploded up out of the ravine. Suddenly, all the hatred she felt for that ravine faded and instead directed to a ball of shadows floating over it. Serila turned, ice blue eyes going wide in shock and fear. Her three kits scrambled back, eyes wide, to shelter behind their mother. Out of the shadows came a wicked laugh and suddenly they lunged for her. The last thing Serila remembered was a scream ripping out of her throat.
Contest-R-Us Ah, gotta love cliffhangers ):3 Anybody hate Sho'lor yet? I tried to make a good depiction of the mountains and the ravine.... *sighs* Pronuciations: Look at the CC I mentioned to get some of them. Sulera--(Sull--era) Morgail--(Morg--ail) Sho'lor--(Show--lore)
