Story is below ⇩ ------------------------------------- I watched as the robot swept its gaze over us. Circuit was looking around trying to look at everything except me, knowing I’d be disappointed and hurt by his secret loyalty to Tyrus. Pixel was doing the exact same thing. Looking at everything that wasn’t me or Spade. Bubble was slowly backing away from the situation, trying to put some distance between her and the robot in case she needed to run. Spade’s eyes were still holding fury, looking straight at the robot without fear, his hackles rising. The robot laughed at our silence and said, “Now, are you going to be good mini bots and come home to your creators?” Pixel, Circuit, and Bubble looked at each other in silent agreement, and sadly and slowly walked over to the robot. “Good robots.” it said, chuckling. Spade only just realized how much trouble he could get himself in and backed away a little bit, his face serious. “We need to get out of here,” he whispered to me. “What is that? I couldn’t hear you,” the robot mocked. “Now get over here.” The robot reached for us. Spade picked me up by the scruff and flew over its grasp with his jetpack. We landed atop a building, the robot and the mini bots on our tails. I could see the robot’s eyes flash with impatience. It turned to the mini bots. “Get them.” Circuit, Pixel, and Bubble’s eyes all moved toward us, turning an emotionless red, inching toward us slowly. “What are you doing?!” Spade yelled through a mouthful of fur, “This isn’t you!” They didn’t listen. The robot chuckled at the attempts Spade made. He glanced at me with a bittersweet look in his eye as he said, “Don’t fail me, will ya? I’ll see you later.” I barely had time to think about what he said as he threw me in a vent behind us. The last thing I saw before I plummeted was Spade leap straight at the robot’s face. I landed in a hamper of dusty clothes, but I knocked it over as I fell, both me and the clothes spewed across the floor. I sat there for a very long time.
