He sat down on his knees, picking each piece one by one. Violet should never find out he broke one of her favourite glass. He should fix it, he should fix every broken thing in that house, but who would fix his broken heart? "Hyung–?" a disembodied, yet fragile voice spoke behind his back. "What do you want?" Jaeyun snapped, clenching his teeth together. He was keeping calm. For now. "Your hand." Dal whispered, his shaking hands pointing at the scar left on Jaeyun's hand, dripping bl !! d. "Go." Jaeyun demanded, "go away." "Hyung let me help you—" "Did you not hear what I said?" Jaeyun screamed, lowering his voice at each word he spoke in one sentence. "Get lost, get out of my sight!" "Hyung." Dal whispered. He was just a kid, just 7. "Your hand is very.. red." Dal didn't know if the words he used were put right, but he was too stunned to speak. "Dal." Jaeyun hissed in a dead voice, the angry expression leaving off his face. Instead, a cold expression painted on his face. "Before you appeared in my life, I was happy, I was living my life, until your parents decided to adopt me. Do you think im grateful for that? Dal, you are not my brother. You'll never be my brother, never. My brother was dead, years ago. You may never replace him." These words were like a straight arrow in Dal's heart, as Jaeyun told them very carelessly, letting these words slip out without a second thought. "Hyung—" "Shut up!" Jaeyun snapped again, the angry expression coming back on his face. "I never want to see you again, stay out of my sight, Dal." As Jaeyun continued picking up the pieces of glass, he passed out. The bl !! D dripping from his hand, staining the ground. Dal rushed to help him. He quickly wrapped his hand around Jaeyun's, holding it tightly. He stayed there, scared, trembling, concerned. He waited there for Kimberly to show up. ☆ "Hyung..? Are you finally awake?" This voice. It had a familiar tone. It rang a bell in Jaeyuns mind. Was it Dal? No. Couldn't be. Dal's voice was low, gentle, and very soft. But the voice Jaeyun just heard was deep, and smooth. People grow and change, right? The type of speaking, putting words together and letting them out was the same. The soft flow and the gentle tone of the voice, it was Dal's. As Jaeyun slowly opened his eyes, he saw the blury face of Dal. The face of him as a child. The cute face, sweet and loveable. But as he blinked a few times, the person he saw in front of himself clearly, was a very beautiful man. His eyes, were the exact ones as Dal. The soft sparkle in those black eyes, the sparkle resembling joy and light. The smile curved at the point of those lips, was the exact same smile as Dal. The person on top of the bed, looking at Jaeyun patiently waiting for a reaction, was Dal. "Hyung!" His smile grew bigger, and the joy in those eyes increased. "You're finally awake hyung!!" "Dal... is that you?" Jaeyun muttered, squinting doubtfully at the handsome face in front of him. "You recognised me hyung! Yes it's me!" As Jaeyun sat up, something in him exploded. A sense of anger, guilt and the hardship of accepting Dal of saving his life. "Dal.." Jaeyun grabbed him by the collar of his black loose shirt. "You're supposed to hate me, you're supposed to despise me, after all i did!" "Is that what you want, hyung?" Dal asked, a stern expression appearing on his face. "Dal—" Jaeyun trailed off, lowering his grip. "I'm sorry." He looked down, dropping his head as tears streamed down his face nonstop. "Hyung dont say that, I never blamed you nor hated you." Dal said, softly wrapping his arms around Jaeyun. As he held him in his arms, it was as if the broken pieces of Jaeyuns heart were coming back together. As if Dal had put those pieces together, with glue and love, with comfort and calmness. It was as if the heart he was expecting someone to fix, was already being fixed. Jaeyun wrapped his arms around Dal, holding him closed. He cried in his shoulder, gasping for breath every minute, sobbing. "I'm sorry Dal. I'm very sorry." Dal didn't know how much he needed to hear this from Jaeyun desperately. ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⋆ㅤㅤ˚ㅤ﹒⠀⠀ꔫ⠀ㅤ⠂ㅤ₊ㅤ °ㅤㅤ☆
