Lionkit? Are you kidding? Please, please don't ruin this purrrrfect trio for me. Hello, and welcome back to What If! Go read it down that-a-way *arrow pointing down* Previous: What if Firestar Died in the Great Battle? Next: ?
When Hollykit wanted to go outside of camp, I knew it would go wrong for me. But, being a kit, I had to prove myself, so I came along. I tried to hide my uneasiness, but I'm sure Hollykit and Jaykit noticed, 'cause they told me they'd protect me if a fox came out and attacked us. I could almost FEEL the great oaks towering above us, yet I had know idea what it looked like, or how bright the sun really is. Then, when Jaykit stumbled and almost fell, I had to be a big brother, so I got behind him. "Jaykit, you ok-" I said, but it was to late. My siblings gasped as a felt the weight lift from me. Down, down, and down I went, yowling desperately. When I hit the ground, it must have knocked me out. I couldn't see what was going on, everything felt numb when I nodded off and woke up in the medicine den a day later. I was relieved when Bramblestar gave me a mentor, and didn't deny me for my lack of sight. But training was hard. Listening for any movement, and only being able to smell what I was eating for an evening meal, knowing a kit might've snuck poppy seeds into my bird. I'm sad that Jaypaw became a medicine cat though, I wish I had both brother and sister to guide me. Hollypaw made friends, so I could only hang out with my mentor, but even that weighed me down. Soon, though, I began to learn how to use my other senses to my advantage. I could smell if ShadowClan had chased a squirrel across the border from farther away than other warriors, and hunting was almost easier. Fighting was my main weakness, but surprisingly, I grew to be strong, as a gift from StarClan. I was rewarded for my good deeds, and I fought for my Clan as much as I could. May I live up to my name, Lionblaze.
