That news hit the school (especially the first-years) with a wave of shock. The sunshine-y beaming innocent golden retriever…. dead. It hit you hard. Itadori was the first one that warmed up to you.. you could practically hear him asking you to sit with them during lunch. But now.. Kugisaki and Fushiguro were shaken. You could tell. Kugisaki seemed less on-edge, more quiet than usual, and Fushiguro just seemed.. gone. Their eyes were clouded over as if they were seemingly in another world. “Hey,” you wave at Fushiguro, sitting next to him at lunch. “..hi,” he mumbled back, avoiding eye contact with you. Kugisaki stared at you then moved over to make room. Lunch was deafeningly silent for you, only quiet chatter and the sounds of plates were heard from the background. In the 20 minutes you, Fushiguro, and Kugisaki had to eat lunch, you three didn’t say anything at all to each other.
/// When the Kyoto Exchange circled around /// You were out with the second years: Inumaki Toge, Panda, and Maki Zen’in. They had a bit of light chatter and laughter circle through the conversation, but you didn’t hear anything. Your mind was still on Itadori. “What about you, hm?” Panda asked from out of nowhere. “Huh?” you said, jolting up and coming back to reality. Panda looked at you, smiling comfortingly. “It is okay, you don’t have to answer.” You looked up at him, seemingly understanding him, then went back to your thoughts. They were interrupted just a moment later when you met up with Kugisaki and Fushiguro. This is where the famed Kyoto students would come to meet you.. and the others. Plus, Gojo said he had a surprise to show you, the Tokyo school. When you approached your fellow first-years, their eyes were still clouded over with sadness. You could tell, and you felt it too. You guys missed Itadori. “I’m heeeeere~!” your sensei called, wheeling a box on wheels with him. “First-years! Your surprise is in here! And Kyoto school, welcome, welcome!!” You hadn’t even noticed it, but the Kyoto students had come to stand about 20 yards away from you guys, and oh boy.. no one other than Aoi Todo was there, and he was huge. Huge in muscle, and huge in height. You felt.. well, just a bit intimidated. “Hey, sis~” a girl’s voice said from the other side, Mai Zen’in. Maki’s older sister. “…Hello, onee-san,” Maki grumbled. Another girl was beside her, blonde, and holding a broomstick for some reason. You didn’t question it, though, because after all, Inumaki could only speak in ingredients, and Panda- well, he was a literal panda.. “Alright, here ya go, Kyoto students!” Gojo said, beaming as he tossed the students some wrapped-up items. He turned to face you three especially, and.. “Here’s your surprise,” he started, opening the box. “Iiiiiit’sss…” You stared at Gojo, wondering what it was. Kugisaki looked at the very least, just a bit interested. Fushiguro remained indifferent. And then that flash of pink hair. That smile. Those brown eyes. That uniform. “It’s your dearly departed friend, Itadori-Yuuji-kun!!!” ‘You cannot be kidding me,’ you thought.
