I(@earthpotato) have decided to create an alternate account dedicated to solely remixes, to prevent my main account from being clogged with remix chain/other remix-related content. While I appreciate remix culture as a major hallmark of Scratch's identity, I maintain that focusing too heavily on it will be detrimental to my future game development plans.
This logo is based off of the archaic concept of an "Antichthon" [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counter-Earth ], specifically the earliest version conceptualized(by Philolaus and Pythagoras of Ancient Greece). In it, the Earth and a Counter-Earth revolve around an invisible Central Fire, here depicted as a black hole(center). Around these, the Sun revolves(lower-right), blocked by the Counter-Earth during the night. The discovery of Earth's heliocentricity would disprove this model, though some fantasy/"sci-fi" stories would revive it as a planet on the opposite side of Earth's solar orbit. The Counter-Earth shown here is based off of the country selection banner for creating accounts in Scratch, and is in the lower-right.
