As fights break loose all over ShadowClan, staining the Ceremonial Pit with innocent blood, and cats howl to the Great Red for justice with growing resentment, the once great clan has quickly deteriorated into a place of fear and danger. Nimbusstar has long floundered, inactive and unresponsive to the threats her clan faces - but after many hopeless nights, she finally emerges from silence with a hardened gaze and a new law, meant to prevent such uncontrolled disasters and be woven into ShadowClan's culture for moons to come. ╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴ THE DUEL AMENDMENT. 01. Introduction The Duel Amendment was written into ShadowClan law by Nimbusstar, made to appease as many as she could during a critical time and to make the unpredictable and dangerous duels a tamed, ceremonial practice. Its details are as follows. 02. OORP Rules • Duels will take place on this project and will be started off by the leader/deputy. • Depending on who the leader is, the IRP rules and punishments may have more or less leniency. • You must already have an outcome in mind when notifying a high rank of a duel. • Your character is allowed to watch from the sidelines if they wish, but please do not intervene without permission from the roleplayers involved in the duel. • In-character actions have in-character consequences. Respective punishments will occur unless an exception is discussed prior with the leader/deputy. 03. IRP Rules • Violence will not be permitted on whim between two cats residing in ShadowClan. • A high rank is required to preside over a dispute. • The leader or deputy is required to preside over a duel. • Both parties must consent to a duel while the leader or deputy is present before it can happen. • All duels must take place in the Ceremonial Pit. • A duel does not end until one party either surrenders or dies. • Nobody other than the feuding parties may intervene in a duel. It is considered intervening to set paw in the Ceremonial Pit. • If a third party intervenes, the duel must pause immediately. • Cats must be at least 13 moons of age before they can take part in an official duel. 04. Punishments • Those who enact violence on another cat residing in ShadowClan outside of an official duel is banishment from ShadowClan territory for a moon the first time. The second time is banishment for three moons. The third time is an official exile. • If a third party intervenes in a duel, they will receive a moon of silent vigil. • If a party involved in a duel continues after someone has intervened, they will receive a moon of silent vigil.
