[The Woodcarver's Curse] 6 Mother and I bid each other a goodbye and I brought my little sister, Eden home. Walking through the night street with only the lamp posts to illuminate the way as if they only did it in my absence. Even though the path seems a bit creepy, I kind of enjoyed the silence. "Alice?" Eden's voice shook me out of my thoughts. "You do remember my birthday, do you?" Oh, yeah! Eden's birthday! I've completely forgotten that tomorrow was her birthday. I still haven't gotten her a gift yet! "Of course I remember..." Great. Now I have another thing to worry: my sister's birthday. How can I even forget about my own sister's birthday? I felt really stupid. Back home, Eden and I ate dinner in silence. For once, the house seemed so empty, like it was missing something... because it *was* missing something... Mother. After dinner, Eden climbed into bed, smiling. "When I wake up, I'll be an eleven-year-old girl, like you, sis!" I forced a smile. It was the first time I've seen Eden so happy in days, and I don't want to ruin her happiness. I stared at the ceiling from my bed, soon hearing Eden's gentle snores, and began to drift off myself.
This was the shortest book I've ever published through Scratch, yet! Enjoy, sweeties!
