Oops. I was working on the Underground background project earlier, when I realized something. The underground palette I was using for the stone pillars included an extra color that the original SMB didn't use. It was for shading. I wondered what it would look like on a normal block, and it looked really good! Then I experimented with another extra color with lighting, until I came up with this. On accident. After that, I decided to remaster everything else to see how it would look!
The assets were "borrowed" from Super Mario REBOOTED, made by @coder4536 , so I probably added some extra tiles, and excluded some OG tiles by accident. If you catch any that are missing, PLEASE let me know! I want to remaster everything possible! The pipe tiles were by far the most complicated, detailed, and what I spent easily the most time on. I added an extra sprite inside the project with all of the tiles connected, if you want to check that out. Idk why, but this is giving me Super Mario All-Stars vibes... I went from looking at the Concept Art, to making an underground background, to this! This creative streak is insane! One thing keeps leading to another! What's next, a remastered Mario sprite? Wait a minute... So uh I decided to grab the tile sprite from @GamingWithDominic 's Super Mario Bros. (Full Game), and uhhhhhh I've been using the wrong colors for everything. I have to recolor/redo all of it now. Yay. (Update) I've STILL technically been using the wrong colors, so I had to just up and nab the NES color palette so I can get it all down to the hex code. I've also now decided to take things one step further, after discovering this Mario fangame called "Super Mario Bros. Reimagined", that had a completely redesigned tile set. I thought it was cool, so I've now decided to do the same! To my best extent, at least...
