Reading the Starless Clan series is surprisingly entertaining. After three days, I have reread 1 and 2, and now I am almost done with 4. I have to wait for 5 so I can borrow it. Also who needs the clans when you have the park cats? I love the park cats. Their whole thing with meditation and kindness is just a great break from the whole “FOLLOW THE WARRIOR CODE, or, you know, don’t. Who cares about it anymore” thing. Okay, it’s probably an effect of reading so many historical fiction Chinese novels but that doesn’t matter- Anyway. FROSTPAW. She’s actually alright! Like, what?! I almost didn’t expect it because, well, Splashtail. I genuinely hate Splashtail. Even before he tried to kill Frost. If Frost didn’t want to be a medicine cat, who gave Splashtail the right to discourage her? Who gave /anyone/ the right? I still don’t like NightheartxSunbeam because it’s bad. I actually find myself relating a little bit to Sunbeam with her friends betraying her over and over thing but she didn’t need a love interest. And to Nightheart and Frostpaw with their having to deal with unreasonable expectations. Still, I believe both Night and Sun would’ve been better on their own. I’ve got to admit, I used to H A T E Squirrelflight more than literally anyone else, but that’s changed. I also hated Ivypool, but she’s alright now. I really don’t like Tigerstar though. If Riverclan didn’t want him “helping,” then why did he think he should’ve? Anyway, I’m actually having a ton of fun reading these. No, no, stop thinking that I’m a fan. I’m not, I promise. (Ignore my full shelf of Warriors books on my one bookshelf and the several books on my Kindle.) I swear to you that I am not a fan. I am not. … It’s kind of nostalgic though.
