I have a theory that if a Gem is shattered, the shards from their Gem could form other, smaller versions of themself with a small sliver of the whole one’s personality, and they are only the fraction of the original’s body. I feel like they would probably be called Fragments or Sediments, and they’re kinda the opposite of Fusion, where Gems combine their forms and personalities, and instead of having extra and combined limbs, they’re only one limb of body part such as the leg, or arm. Think of it as similar to the Cluster, but only a single Gem forms it instead of many. A Fragment would also have similar incentives as a Cluster Gem Fragment, to make themselves whole. There is a lot of evidence to support this theory is something that happens in the show.
