✶ вυяиιиg вяι∂gєѕ | α ѕнσят ѕтσяу ———․° ✧ °․——— “then we'll go home.” ———․° ✧ °․——— - this story has five parts; it is not finished until you see "THE END" - a huge thank you to recca (@27coding_crazy) and alia (@--tranquility) for their amazing critique! <3 Originally written as the fourth weekly of swc (scratch writing camp), all I knew was that I wanted to incorporate a rewrite of the nursery rhyme "London Bridge is Falling Down", and it had to begin with exposition. The night before writing this, I was reading The Wizard of Oz (highly recommended, no matter what age you are ^^) and the idea of home and having a home to belong to lingered in my subconscious. It was only once I'd completely finished writing the first draft of this story that I realised how many references to home there were lol. So, the takeaway from this is to vary your reading (or any media) and don't stick to just one genre - the fact that this was subconsciously inspired by a children's book from the 1900s proves my point lol. I hope you enjoy! <3 ———․° ✧ °․——— ✎ sтσяү: all me - 1,444 words ▢ вαcкgяσυη∂s: Canva ♬ ѕσυи∂: 'Heartbreak' by Vocalbeets ◎ тɪмε: a day (not including minor edits) + two days for formatting because i like to make things harder for myself lol ———․° ✧ °․——— #burningbridges #burning #bridge #shortstory #fiction #story
