Just wanted to vent and share my experience with a user named @-moontale-. When I first joined I was a huge fan of them, so I made a lot of fanart. The first fanart I posted was stolen art, which I made as a joke. I quickly deleted it though. The second fanart I made was a redraw of their group picture, and I was accused of tracing. I was 7-9 at the time and didn't know how to deal with this, so I made a bunch of alts to stand up for myself. I just ended up getting sent death threats on my YouTube page. The person who accused me of tracing, despite having no proof besides "it just looks traced so I guess it is", made a project about me and asked people to report my account. Again, I didn't know what to do, so I mass-reported their project on my alts. I don't remember whether it was taken down or not. Instead of backing down, I harassed the person on numerous accounts, trying to guiltrip and shame them. I also pretended to be somewhere around 20-30, which is outrageous...smh After things had calmed down, I continued making more fanart for -Moontale-, until one post. I didn't know that tracing was wrong if it was to develop an art style. It really isn't, but I shouldn't have posted it without giving credit. I received a lot of backlash for it and didn't understand why, so I chose to mass-report anyone who criticized me. I think this was when I finally stopped interacting with -Moontale- altogether. I am not excusing my behavior because I was a child, but saying that I didn't have a good sense of morality at the time. I regret everything I did, and this should've been handled privately. I also don't believe @-Moontale- purposely sent their friends to harass me, and neither do I believe they were in the wrong. It was a learning experience on my part, but also traumatic and led to me deleting my account and considering quitting art.
