| Chapter Nine | At the markets I got a bunch of fruits and vegetables, 3 bags of fire stones for some reason, and BETTER clothes. And some creepy guy offered me some elixir, but I said no. I got back to the house about three hours later, and Crystal provided a warm welcome. Very very warm. She set my cloak on fire. That jerk. I can’t believe I thought she liked me. “Hey Liebe,” Crystal said with a smirk on her face. I sighed and walked past, stomping on my burning cloak. “I don’t even know what that means.” “And let’s be happy for that,” Crystal replied as she poofed away. I ignored her and walked into the house. “Nanny? I’m back. I got all your stuff!” “Wunderbar,” Nanny said from the kitchen. “No complications?” I dragged the bags across the floor. “Not yet.” I tossed the bags onto the table, and asked, “Why on earth did you need 3 bags of fire stones?” Nanny took the bags and chucked them outside. “For me.” “Well yeah, duh.” “They’re supposed to be good for you.” “Trying to revive your powers?” Crystal asked as she suddenly poofed into the kitchen. Nanny nodded, “Yes. They’ve been… sad.” She flicked her wrist towards the stove, and a small spark leapt off her hand. I gasped. “Oh, Nanny- I’m so sorry.” “Eh. It’s not your fault. It just happens when you’re old.” Then Crystal interjected, “LIKE YOUR PREHISTORIC PARENTS ROSEY!!” That caught me off guard. “Wow. Jerk move,” I replied. “Girls please. Relax.” Crystal laughed. “Oh please Libby. It’s not like you don't insult people.” “Yes, but I’ve earned that right. You two-” she said, glaring at both of us, “-have not.” I sighed and then started walking out. “See you later. I’m going to go-” “Sulk in your bedroom for the next eight hours?” Crystal interrupted. “Mind if I join?” My mind went blank. “Aw, Rosey’s blushing,” Crystal teased. “THE HECK? No. No, not blushing. Not at all,” I said in a blunder. “Libby, what’s your opinion on this?” Nanny turned around. “I’m just gonna stay out of this…” GOOD IDEA LADY. NOW HAVE A GOOD DAY. “Calm down Rosey. That’s not nice language,” Crystal said as she suddenly poofed beside me. “This is why you’re single.” “Well, do you want to change that, Liebe?” “GIRLS. PLEASE. Not now,” Nanny said politely, yet aggressively. “If you’re going to-” she waved her hand about “-do whatever this is, bring it upstairs.” Crystal smirked. “Gladly.” She turned to me. “Let’s take it to my room, shall we?” “How about not?” I replied. “Why not? We all know you want to…” she said, her voice trailing off as a grin crossed her face. “Yeah no. I’m leaving.” I started walking up the stairs, waiting for Crystal to say something. And to my pleasant surprise, she didn’t. Good riddance.
Long awaited, chapter nine. Kinda weird, but who cares?? Hope y'all enjoy!
