official ending date: march 30th 2015 sarahmae14 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY WOOOT WOOOT! OC: Aussie Song: Youth by Daughter Ok, so some of you know that Aussie is my main horse OC. In his backstory, he was rescued as a yearling from a run-down farm where he and several other horses were slowly starving to death. Either his mother, his sibling, or both died of malnutrition before the rescue. I like to keep that bit a mystery. I keep it a mystery because I don't know for sure. You may have guessed something from that one sentence. If you haven't, here it is. Aussie is a very real horse, and his horror story is very real indeed. Aussie is my 11- year old Tennessee Walking Horse gelding. When he was a yearling, he was rescued from the run-down farm where he was starving. And yes, either his mother, his sibling, or both died in that awful place. Aussie's story may be mortifying, but I hope it also helps stop animal abuse and neglect. What do I mean when I say abuse? I don't mean being yelled at. I mean being hit with a stick or even the barrel on a gun every day for a year. One of my grandfather's horses, Abby, was also abused. She has a scar on her nose from where she was constantly hit with a broom handle. When I first heard Abby and Aussie's stories, I cried. Have you ever seen a horror movie. Well, I have, and I've also witnessed horse abuse. And horse abuse is a thousand times worse for us and millions of times scarier for the horse. Aussie and Abby now have homes where they are loved and spoiled to death. Some horses never get that chance. Skinned alive, shot in the haunch as to experience more pain, stabbed to death, hit with a machete, something is placed in the eye and the horse is allowed to live, and many other things spell a painful death for some horses. Please help stop animal neglect and abuse. Help horses like Aussie and Abby and my dog, Jake, who is a rescue dog, find loving homes.
RESCUE PROUD! BLOOD WARNING! Also, I'm making a new account!! It's gonna be called AussieAbby&Jake, and it's going to be specifically about animals! So yay!
