Meet Harper Grey! He is the protaganist of the story, and a first year at M.H.A.M.G! He is an orphan in foster care until he gets accepted into the school. He has no magic experience, but shows promise. He has a special case because he had to be roommates with a 2nd year-something that doesn't typically happen. The second year's name is Basil, and they begin and have a relationship throughout the book. The reason he is wearing that bracelet is because it's a symbol of the Sparrows: which is basically a group saying they won't use dark magic.
