1.2.1 Project name: Life Cycle of a bean plant. https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1017292924 • What did you want to achieve when developing the project? Explaining the life cycle of a bean. • What would you like learners to learn from this project? I want learners to understand the start of a bean plant. How it starts with a seed that needs light, water, soil, and air to grow. It then continues to grow under the right conditions to become a bean plant. • For what purpose did you design this project in relation to the school curriculum topic? This topic is covered in grade 4. As learners are exposed to images in their private life’s, the project will help them to visualize the process of how a bean plant starts its growth into an adult plant. • What purpose do the coding blocks, images, audio, backdrops serve in relation to this project? I have used text to speech to explain the steps in the growth of a bean plant. My backdrop is a bean plant in its different life cycle phases. The clouds are showing how the bean plant is watered. A song is included to grab the learners’ attention. I included a Sprite to thank the buddy for the explanation.
