Am I too young to make a difference. Just press the green flag. Space bar to reset the sprites. This not the final project I am still busy to add more interesting ideas. 1.1.2 Project name: Am I too young? https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1017307163 • What did you want to achieve when developing the project? Our new generation is our new workforce. Our new doctors and engineers and the generation that will be in parliament to make a big difference in South Africa and the world. I personally think they don’t understand the importance they play in our day and age and what a difference they can make. They are not too young to start to make a difference in our world as the media and the world is telling them they are. Unfortunately, some young people then start to believe this. As educators, this is our priority; to challenge them to make a difference and to start to think outside the box and not to concentrate on what the media are telling them. • To what extent have you achieved this? In my project I have put in a few ideas where young people can think about small things they can start to change, that will eventually lead to bigger things they will achieve. • For what purpose did you create this project? To make a difference in the world and in South Africa through inspiring our youth. As they new generation must take responsibility for their actions and start to show they can make a difference. • What purpose do the coding blocks, images, audio, backdrops serve in relation to this project? I coded my Sprites to ask questions to our youth. My backdrop was a broken world that is bleeding, as we are facing a lot of challenges in the world today. My second backdrop is humans holding hands, being united around the world.
