Jack laughed hysterically as he ran like a powerful storm passing by. "You'll never reach me...avian lady!" he added between huffs. Jack had run so much he could barely breathe anymore, yet he could /not/ let Belcanea beat him at this race — which he hadn't specified was one anyway — but he was getting exhausted. He /needed/ a break, if even just a short one. When he finally slowed to a stop, he took a moment to catch his breath — and quite loud it was until he had breathed just enough to pipe down a bit so that he could hear the sound of Belcanea's arriving boots...but he heard nothing… ...Where had Belcanea gone? “Ah!” Oh? It seems he has found her; how peachy! “BIRD LADY, I'M OVER HERE!” Jack flew off to the familiar shape of Belcanea — which stood just a few leaps away — and shouted, “BIRD-FACE!!” Suddenly, Jack’s shoes began to scuff as he tried to halt himself as soon as possible when he saw this figure he was heading to was, oh, just— “HUMONGOUS!” he cried. “YOU’RE HUMONGOUS!” The creature that had somehow mimicked Belcanea’s distant silhouette flinched around horrifyingly to all the scuffing and screaming and glared ever so sternly at Jack with its black, marbley eyes. This encounter was scary for the both of them. At least at first. Jack stood politely and motionlessly. Jack did not peep. It made the creature feel comfortable enough to approach. Through the unsureness of its eyes, it appeared curious and intrigued by Jack, because — of course — of his unfamiliar features. Not so interesting to us, but to a naive being without knowledge of such things as 'humans', yes. The fellows seemed to be adjusting to each other fast. But, like, really fast. A bit too fast, maybe. And then a big, bulky pair of arms emerged from the giant's bushy little skirt so that it could explore Jack with them. It pushed his arm. It squeezed his nose. It pulled his cheeks. A bit too hardly, though Jack didn't do much about it. The giant hummed merrily and unbotheredly. Then only few moments passed before Jack was off the ground and on top of its shoulders. Jack gasped in awe. "WOW! Oh, how tall you a...aaAAAHHHH!!!" Jack roared in fear just as the giant zoomed like the wind with Jack on its back. Its speed made him feel like he was about to fly off. "SLOW DOWN, SLOW DOWN! YOU'RE GOING TOO FAST!" Jack cried. But, the giant, it was, um, having a bit too much fun to hear any of Jack's cries. Then Jack squinted his eyes and peered into the distance and thought: /is that.../, then his thoughts silenced, and after a pause his words blurted with a warning message: "BIRD LADY?! Oh, no! Oh, no! Stop! STOP!" After the sound of the big siren delivered by Jack's tongue, the giant looked up at his face and then into the distance ahead, and it saw...a body...more importantly, a body that the giant was about to crash into. And before the giant could react fast enough to avert this crisis, with a skid and a slam, it was now too late. Everyone groaned in pain and rubbed their hurting spots. "I think...a /boulder/ hit me," Belcanea mumbled sarcastically. ``Ouch!.. J-- Jack??`` ``JACK WHAT IN THE ROTTING WORLD IS THAT??`` Jack stares at Belcanea for a couple seconds before looking up at the creature's face and back at her. ``OHH, BELCANEA, DON'T FRET! IT DOES NO HARM!...`` ``Um, I mean, I hope that's not what it was trying to do just now.`` ``OKAY... UH, NICE KITTY!`` Belcanea chuckled shakily. Jack and The creature stared Belcanea into the soul. ``Really, Belcanea?.. KITTAY!!?`` ``RRG- I GUESS SO |: (.`` She swallowed. ``Now, where was I..`` ``...`` ``Ah, yeees~!`` ``WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME, JACK?!! THIS PLACE AIN'T SAFE FOR NEITHER OF US! YOU NEEDED MY COMPANY! AND, AND-- I NEEDED YOURS AS WELL!`` Belcanea screamed straight at his face. ``OK, OK. COOL IT. I'M SORRY.`` ``Oooh, you better be. Or I'm actually going to swap to, um.. T... Tina...tarzan..?`` Belcanea stammered, peering slightly at the air. ``...I'M GONNA SWITCH TO PATATA'S SIDE, OR- OR WHATEVER!
