Girly is out for a walk on the beach to find sea glass. Crabby offers to help if they can swim in the ocean once one of them has found five pieces of sea glass. Simply click the green flag and watch the counter to see whether Girly or Crabby "find five first".
This project was created for my CSE-1 course at the Harvard Extension School, spring 2013. I was challenged to create a project that featured a condition, a loop, a variable, at least two sprites, three scripts, and one sound. I was inspired to add the scene change by watching the Scratch tutorial "My First Scratch Project." This was very a helpful resource. I watched the tutorial on my iPad and worked along on my computer. When I began my own project, I thought about the story first. I enjoy looking for sea glass, so I thought this would be a good starting place for my story. Also, I think block girl is adorable, so I knew she would be the star of the show. Finally, I wanted to create a story that could simply be viewed rather than require the user to manipulate the figures. I appreciate that the outcome of the story changes. Thanks for viewing my project!
