Chapter 1: That last day of fifth grade, it should be fun…….except it’s not. It’s boring. At least we didn’t have to do much work in Science and Social Studies. And we only had to write one paragraph about what we were going to do for summer vacation in ELA. We still had to do a whole math worksheet though, but it wasn’t too hard. I would have enjoyed it more, but I was too busy thinking about how I was going to get to Hogwarts, and how I was going to get across the Atlantic Ocean and how I was going to get away without my parents noticing. That was going to be the biggest problem; like wouldn’t they go out and search for me? I’d figure that all out later though, so I needed to decide when I’d leave. Not July 1st….. Not August 10th……and definitely not August 31st. Besides….. August 31st is when my birthday is. I know! July 31st would be perfect! I would have a month to get there. “Thump!” “Huh?!” “Ha ha!” All of a sudden, in art class, the clay pot I was working on fell to the floor, but not before the upper half of my arm smooshed it. Now my arm was smeared with wet clay, and the entire class was laughing hysterically at me. “Biscuits.” I muttered under my breath, right before the art teacher, Ms. Thorn, walked over to help me out. “Are you all right?” She asked. “Yeah I’m good.” I answered. “Want to go wash your hands at the sink?” “Yup, I’ll do that.” I walk over to the sink next to the drying rack and turn on the faucet. I wonder if Hogwarts will have a bathroom like this. I then start squirting soap out of the dispenser onto my hands, which starts to foam up. After I’ve finished washing, I reach for a paper towel and then - “RIIIIIING!” The end of day bell rings. Every kid in my class starts rushing out of the room, and I quickly follow. But as soon as I step outside, I am greeted by a humongous wave of kids rushing through the hall. “Cheese and crackers!” I cry. Comment 4 chapter 2!
