It was after dinner, and curfew would be in a couple hours. Celeste gave her a knowing look. "I don't think we can afford more detentions, Lillie," she teased, but then turned serious. "All this homework...how are we supped to study for our O.W.L.S?" Celeste said, and Lillie had to agree. "We'll get through it somehow," Lillie promised, as she sat down on a plush couch. "Anyways, did you see that Umbridge woman? She's horrendous," Celeste said, shuddering. Lillie nodded. "My parents say I have to be on good terms with her; they work with her, but I'm not sure I can. She keeps testing me," Lillie said, annoyed, but the two girls shared a laugh. The common room door swung open suddenly, making Lillie jump. She was rather edgy lately. Malfoy appeared- he looked like he was in a terrible mood- and was followed by Crabbe and Goyle, who looked equally annoyed. Lillie and Celeste looked at each other and burst out laughing. "Why're /you/ so angry?" Celeste asked him, smirking. Malfoy scowled. "None of your business, Greengrass," he said, irritably. "Whatever, he's a prat," Lillie said, amused; it was something she called him everyday. Celeste rolled her eyes and muttered a profanity. "Leave him alone!" a shrill voice rang. It was very girly and high-pitched, meaning it could belong to none other than Pansy Parkinson. Even Malfoy looked horrified- his cheeks were tinged pink. "Mind your own business, Parkinson," he said, threateningly. Celeste and Lillie looked at each other and suppressed their smiles. Parkinson narrowed her eyes and huffed as she turned away and stormed to the girl's dorms. Malfoy did the same but went to the boy's dorms, Crabbe and Goyle following him around like puppies. "Guess he wasn't in the mood to fight," Celeste said, while she checked her nails. Lillie shrugged. "Whatever. I need to start on my essay for potions," she said, nonchalantly.
