11 drawings in 8 days I was bored and didn't feel like drawing humans, so here we are! Low-key hope I don't win because I don't think I'd actually end up using these characters (I have a lot of OCs lol), but this was fun regardless! Edit: I said that but then I started writing lore NOOOO Let me win Eagles Tower pls I also think I put quantity over quality with this (I wanted to ride the motivation wave), hence the severe lack of proper backgrounds, but I'm still really happy with these! Then again, some days I did character and background on different days, so then you get proper backgrounds lol. [May 12, 2024] Tail Cave: When doing this one, I felt the music was sort of quietly intimidating and dangerous, perhaps a little mysterious. I tried to convey this by having Tail Cave be a ruler of a forest. Meeting someone who has a lot of power over you, and one who hides their true intentions. Very mysterious, quite intimidating. No big displays of power needed for this wolf. The design felt very natural, so the throne is made of wood and I put them in a forest. [May 13, 2024] Bottle Grotto: The bottle looked like an antique vase, the kind of thing you’d see in a museum. So I put him in a museum lmao. Poor evil ancient magic thing is locked in a glass box for children to gawk at. [May 14, 2024] Key Cavern: Honestly, I haven't drawn dragons in forever, and just liked the position. I didn't really have a reason for her to be on the defense like that, so I gave her an egg lol. The shadow is kinda supposed to be demon shaped, so I guess her baby's about to be kidnapped by a demon, RIP. [May 14, 2024] Anglers Tunnel: My design! I was really looking forward to this one, even if it took longer than I'd like. It was fun though! I've been meaning to draw more characters underwater lately. [May 14, 2024] Catfish's Maw: Wow, okay, three in one day? Where is all this motivation for school work? I really wasn't sure what to do with this one at first, just giving it a basic pose, but then I thought of how they give off desert temple vibes, and Bottle Grottos bottle looks like an antique that could be from a temple... and here we are! Clawed feet are the bane of my existence so far, but I suppose its good practice. Does this mean Bottle has siblings, or more of her species? [May 15, 2024] Face Shrine: motivation was not as good today, but I finished this one! I also did line art and coloring for Eagles Tower. Really like the floofy tail :3 [May 16, 2024] Eagles Tower: this one might be my favorite so far, though the wings were an absolute PAIN to draw. I was also going to draw TR, BUT I had a headache and figured I probably shouldn't lol. The glowys and bg were fun to do lol. [May 17, 2024] Turtle Rock: The lava was so annoying for this one D: Still kinda fun tho! [May 18, 2024] Color Dungeon: Great design, but I don't think I did it justice. [May 19, 2024] Wind Fishes Egg: my OG idea didn't work but this isn't bad. Colors were easy. [BONUS May 19, 2024] Ace (Eagles Tower lore): Subtle card suit imagery ehehehe. For music I did the instrumental of Casino Royale by Derivakt If I had to chose 1 to win, it would be Eagles Tower. I like my lore the best, and I designed a whole other character for him lol. Bios: [Tail Cave] Name: Amber Pronouns: She/her Backstory: Once just a small pup in a dangerous world, Amber had a terrible hand dealt to her. But she did her best with it. Through skill and wit, she tricked her way up the ladder, gaining the respect of fellow woodland creatures along the way. Eventually, she took the throne for herself. Overall, a good leader. Dangerous, but the forest is thriving. Do not forget how she took that position though, because she was still once a criminal, and she demands respect. So yeah, she assassined her way to the top. Like a girlboss. [Bottle Grotto] Name: Ray Pronouns: She/they Backstory: Once a free creature, Ray and the rest of her family were captured by wish-hunters, who thought they could grant wishes. After learning they can't, they were thrown into caves, still trapped in the bottles the hunters used. Over the years, Rays family disappeared, and shes not quite sure where they went. Millennia later, Oryx came along, taking Ray from her prison to the outside world. However, Oryx wasn't the only one after Ray. They got intercepted by a different group (Including Ruby), who stole Ray and sold her to a museum, where she currently lays, trapped again. [Key Cavern] Name: Saber Pronouns: She/her Backstory: A feared dragon, Saber had defended her lands faitfully for years, from humans, dragons, and demons alike. Eventually, she settled down to have an egg, a child to raise as her own. Unfortunately, without a mate to help her out, her lands we not longer so defended when she had to keep her egg warm. IRLs know why that's funny. Either way, she drowned, but the river brought her back to life. Now she is one with the water a a messenger of it's wishes. All hail Cari, messenger of the water that gives us all life. [Catfish's Maw] Name: Oryx Pronouns: he/him Backstory: Oryx is a scavenger and a tomb raider. However, he raids the tombs to protect the artifacts or mysterious creatures inside rather than experiment, sell, or trap them. So, he found Ray before the other group, but got intercepted and lost her. He was tied to a tree and left in the dust. Since then, he's been doing his work with more vigor than ever, and trying to find some free time to track down and break Ray out of her prison. [Face Shrine] Name: Ruby Pronouns: she/they Backstory: Ruby is another tomb raider. She needs the money, and she's gonna get it. Her most notable job was aiding in the capture of Ray, though she was only one of a group who captured the creature. Though she has morals, she also has to pay for food, and that take priority. She may seem somewhat large and intimidating due to their tail, but they are mostly fluff, allowing them to slip into small areas and openings to tombs. She is practically the perfect thief, though she has a tendency to take certain pieces for herself (Especially ruby's), hiding them in her tail. [Eagles Tower] Name: Static??? Pronouns: he/him Backstory: I placed Static in a more futuristic sort of cyber punk-esq world. He works at a casino/undercover crime ring place, mostly specializing in making deals on behalf of his boss or collecting information. He lost his in an explosion when he was young, living on his own in an ally way next to a bakery. The baker used to take pity on him, helping him out with food and shelter when possible, until she got a little to mixed up with the wrong crowd. Her place got blown up as a message to Static's current boss, Ace. Ace was close with the baker, and knew of her soft spot for Static. When he found the young feline severely injured and alone, he took him in. Ace gave Static his robotic arm and leg, nursing him to health slowly. In exchange for shelter, food, water, and Healthcare, Static works for Ace as his most trusted information holder. [Turtle Rock] Name: Malt Pronouns: he/him Backstory: Bro is literally just chilling in basically the nether (From Minecraft). Dude has no issues or trauma...yet. [Color Dungeon] Name: Ivory Pronouns: They/them Backstory: Ivory was once plain, pure white. They grew up with what many would consider a "Sad Beige Mom". Their home was devoid of color, and Ivy grw up learning the difference between raw umber and dark beige rather than the primary colors. Even her toys had to be painted in neutral colors. Once she got out, she was desperate for all the color she could get. They made color exposure therapy rooms, pained a lot, ect. Eventually, they were around color so much it begain to absorb into their fur. The color gods blessed them, allowing them to have as much colr as they wanted, and letting them spread the joy of colors to everyone. Their blessing is shown not only on their fur, but also in the second pair of eyes, separating them more from other cats and their colorless mother. [Wind Fish's Egg] Name: Marine Pronouns: Any Backstory: The very embodiment of the water, Marine is a god. He is the one who blessed Cari. They are also practically the embodiment of freedom, flowing through the world and every living thing, She heals and gives them life, a very necessity of life. Xey don’t show themselves often, but when she does, be prepared for something really important. Small trauma when considering his immortality, but thats kind of i the job description. No mortal you love will live forever. Unless you look at the color gods creating new colors whenever they feel like it. [BONUS Eagles Tower lore] Name: Ace Pronouns: he/him Backstory: Statics boss! Ace, being a little on the small side and lacking any natural advantages like wings, didn't have a very easy time getting to the top. He built his Casino, Ace of Spades, From the ground up with his inheritance. He turned it into a front for crime, finding secrets and trading them around until his business was filled with just as many criminals as gamblers. Everyone on the scene knew he was the one to go to for information, even the police, eventually. He can't get taken down or police secrets will be leaked to every criminal in the city. One of his friends owns the prosthetics part of one of the biggest robotics companies. In exchange for ammo against competitors, Ace has access to free prosthetics when needed. It's me! Goldi!
