I figured I'd make this project before I give you guys the Rebels retrospective Space or click to see the next picture While you look at the pictures, I thought I'd share some fun facts with you guys about Steven Spielberg and George Lucas that you hopefully didn't know. 1. After the success of Star Wars in 1977, George took a much-needed vacation to Hawaii. Steven Spielberg was also there. While building sandcastles, they came up with Indiana Smith, an archaeologist who did "all kinds of neat stuff." 2. Indiana Jones is named after George Lucas' dog. 3. George's first movie he directed was THX 1138 4. George Lucas helped found a movie with Francis Ford Coppola called American Zoetrope. It went on to produce many popular movies. 5. The following is taken from the original script of Star Wars: "the story of Mace Windu, a revered Jedi-bendu of Opuchi who was related to Usby C. J. Thape, padawan learner to the famed Jedi." Huh? 6. George's former wife, Marcia, edited movies for director Martin Scorsese 7. Club Obi-wan in Temple of Doom 8. Not only did Frank Oz voice Yoda, but he helped create E.T. as well. 9. The first Star Wars book was Splinter of the Mind's Eye 10. Steven Spielberg's first theatrical release was The Sugarland Express. 11. George's special effects company, Industrial Light & Magic, did the effects for many popular blockbusters. One of these was Jurassic Park. The effects of the movie inspired George to make The Phantom Menace 12. In 1971, George wanted to make a movie about the Vietnam War called Apocalypse Now (Google it!) But that war was currently going on, so nobody wanted to release a movie about current events.
I find it funny how unhappy George looks in some of these pictures.
