Moonfall walked into the medicine cat den, noticing the dead fish Perfectheart had put into her nest. That stupid cat, he was a warrior but acted like a kit. No, he didn't act like a kit, because Moonfall remembered her own kit days and neither she nor Tansysong were that immature, and Mountainpaw and Valleypaw weren't like that as kits either. Regardless, Perfectheart was a stuck-up jerk. Moonfall sniffed the dead fish in her nest. It was fresh. Free food, then. Moonfall nibbled at the fish, but she didn't have much of an appetite. She hadn't been eating regularly since Frostface's death. Ah yes, Frostface's death. Frostface and Dave had been out on patrol when Dave fell into the river. Frostface had tried to save him, but they had both been lost to the tides as a storm started up and the river flooded. That was probably why Perfectheart was like that, actually. Long ago, when she was an apprentice, she had commented that Dave was Perfectpaw's common sense. She'd been right. And Perfectheart was wrong, when he said Dave would never leave. After she finished eating the fish- she only finished it because she wanted to tell Perfectheart she ate his prank- she headed out of her den. "Moonfall!" Perfectheart shouted. "Did my prank fool you?" He smirked. "I ate it." Moonfall said. Without another word, she walked away, ignoring Perfectheart's outraged rambling. It was rather amusing when he was like this. "Moonfall!" Tansysong bounded up to Moonfall with a fish in her mouth. "I brought you fresh-kill." "Sorry Tansysong, I already ate." For one time, Moonfall wasn't lying. "Ahh." Tansysong seemed disappointed. "That's okay! I'll eat it myself!" "Okay." Moonfall said. She really just wanted Tansysong to go away. Tansysong always asked her annoying questions: "Are you okay?" "Do you want to talk?" "Why have you been avoiding me?" And this time was no different: "Moonfall, I don't think you're as fine as you say you are. Do you want to talk to me about it? I know Frostface's death has been affecting you a lot." Moonfall had had a particularly stressful day, and combined with Perfectheart's dumb prank, she was at her breaking point. "Shut up!" Moonfall snapped. "I'm fine!" Moonfall didn't miss the stunned and hurt look on her sister's face. She bolted out of camp, running up the hill until she reached the cliff with the tree. She watched the sunset, holding back tears. That was when she heard footsteps. Had Tansysong followed her? Or had another RiverClan cat decided to investigate this place? Needless to say, Moonfall was not expecting Perfectheart to be approaching her. "What are you doing here, Perfectheart." Moonfall said harshly. Perfectheart had a smug grin on his face. "I followed you!" He exclaimed. "You know, I expected you to be going to that stupid herb garden after you ran away crying, but a cliff with a tree was not what I expected. So dumb!" "Shut up." Moonfall said, gritting her teeth. She hated Perfectheart, she just wanted to exist in peace without him bothering her. At least Tansysong was tolerable. "Your flower is wilted." Perfectheart commented. "You know, the one you got from that girlfriend of yours. Glad she gained some sense and dumped you." "She did not dump me!" Moonfall yelled. "We're still together, we just haven't seen each other in a while!" "Eh, whatever." Perfectheart said. "What's with all the moping, anyway? Don't you got better things to do?" Moonfall had been angry for most of the day, but now she was fuming. Perfectheart had followed her out of camp and invaded her safe space, insulting her relationship with her girlfriend and basically everything else about her. She had enough of yelling. No need to waste her voice. It was time to actually do something. Moonfall circled Perfectheart, putting him in between her and the cliff. "What's with all the circling?" Perfectheart scowled. He seemed unaware with what she was planning, too focused on insulting her. Moonfall pushed. She pushed him off the cliff, Perfectheart being so startled he was unable to fight back. "Moonfall!" He exclaimed as he fell. Moonfall heard a thunk. Moonfall climbed down from the cliff to investigate. Falling from a height like that could result in a multitude of injuries, even if the fall was broken, like whiplash, dislocation, fractures, or sprains. "I hate you." Perfectheart hissed through gritted teeth. His leg was sticking out at an awkward angle, obviously broken. Moonfall certainly would not be treating him, but she couldn't just leave him here. It would make her look bad. Moonfall touched Perfectheart's broken leg. He hissed in pain. She sat beside him, thinking. She needed a way to either get rid of Perfectheart or to get him not to tell anyone. She chose the second option. "I am your medicine cat." Moonfall started. "I hold your life in my paws. You can't walk, you can't get help. You must obey me." Continued in Notes and Credits
Part 2: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1019838038/ --- "I don't care!" Perfectheart said, voice pained. "I don't need your help!" "Okay." Moonfall said, and began walking away. "Wait!" Perfectheart exclaimed. "Come back!" Moonfall turned around, walking back to Perfectheart. "So you do want my help." "Of course I want your help!" Perfectheart hissed. "I have a broken leg." "Wonderful." Moonfall said. "I will help you under one condition. You must not tell anyone I did this to you." "What?" Perfectheart exclaimed. "Why would I do that?" "Because," Moonfall began, "If you tell, I will hurt you. Perhaps I will poison your food. Or break your leg again. And keep in mind, you will be under my care for many moons. So it will be quite easy to do so." "Fine." Perfectheart agreed. "I'll do it." "Good." Moonfall said as she picked up sticks to make a cast. "And, one more thing, I expect you to be respectful. No more insults. Or I will hurt you." "No more insults." Perfectheart repeated. "Or you will hurt me."
