Perfectheart had been following Moonfall's rules quite well, and Moonfall was glad. She felt so much better, now that there was no annoying cat insulting her. She wasn't a fan of the death glares, but oh well. Can't always win. So when Moonfall smelled Monarchwing's scent in the medicine den, she immediately knew something was wrong. It became even more apparent when Perfectheart was missing. She knew that this was Tansysong's doing. Moonfall exited her den. She could see Tansysong approach her. "Moonfall, we need to talk." Tansysong said. Her voice was harsh, not sympathetic like it usually was. "Talk about what?" Moonfall feigned ignorance. "You know what." Tansysong said. "Why would you threaten Perfectheart and throw him off a cliff! He's our brother!" Moonfall had plenty of reasons. "He's rude." She said. "He's disrespectful. He insulted my relationship with Dovestrike." "That's no excuse!" Tansysong said. "You can't hurt him now. I got Monarchwing to take him to WindClan. She knows everything." "You shouldn't have done that!" Moonfall said. "Those few days were the most peaceful days of my life! Now he's just going to cause trouble for the WindClan cats!" Moonfall and Tansysong's arguing had attracted a few onlookers. "What's going on?" Blizzardstar asked. "Moonfall pushed Perfectheart off a cliff!" Tansysong shouted. Gasps and other expressions of shock were heard throughout camp. "She also threatened him into staying silent!" Tansysong added. "I had to take him to WindClan to keep him safe!" "Perfectheart is a jerk anyway!" Moonfall yelled. "Nobody in this clan likes him! He makes all of our lives harder! I was just bringing peace to the clan!" "You went too far, Moonfall!" Tansysong said. "Silence!" Blizzardstar shouted. "Normally, if a cat were to do this exile would be the punishment. Unfortunately, Moonfall is our only medicine cat. So I cannot do that." "However," Blizzardstar continued, "Moonfall will be punished for her actions. She will not be allowed to leave camp alone, to ensure that she does not hurt another clanmate." "Excuse me?" Moonfall yowled. She couldn't have that. She couldn't have Blizzardstar taking away her alone time. "I did a service to this clan by getting rid of him!" "Moonfall, he's right." Tansysong said. "You can't attack someone and not face consequences." "He never faced any consequence after his exile!" Moonfall yelled. "He's been causing problems for moons! Why would you side with him?" "I can't believe you!" Tansysong said. "You won't even own up to your mistake! You're a horrible sister!" Moonfall narrowed her eyes. Now Tansysong was a problem too, siding with Perfectheart too. Moonfall narrowed her eyes, wondering what she should do. After a long silence, Tansysong said, "Moonfall? Why aren't you speaking?" She sounded nervous. Moonfall charged forward. Tansysong yowled as Moonfall scratched her eye out. The entire clan was looking on in horror. They all loved Tansysong, they thought she was so innocent. Moonfall had thought the same thing, too, but she knew better. Tansysong had sided with Perfectheart. If Moonfall stayed here any longer, they would kill her. So she ran. She didn't think about what direction to go in, she just ran. Soon she found herself on WindClan territory. She was tempted to seek refuge in WindClan, but she couldn't. They knew what she did, they were all on Perfectheart's side. So she continued running, hardly noticed as the wilting flower she got from Dovestrike fell off. She ran until she was in SkyClan territory. "Oh, honey, what would you be doing here?" Hornetstar approached Moonfall. "Surely the RiverClan medicine cat would have a good reason for running into SkyClan territory." Moonfall sized up Hornetstar. The SkyClan leader was cunning and clever, doing anything she could for power. A useful ally. "I would like to join your clan." Moonfall said.
