Instead, he wiped out most of objectkind. The survivors hid in Hell. However, an angel came, and killed the leaders of Hell, locking their souls away. And thus, there was no defense against Mask coming down to Hell to continue his slaughter. P's lore is the same as Sisyphus's. Objects are dead. Blood is fuel.
