❝ in a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit ... ❞ welcome <3 come inside—just mind that you don't scratch the newly painted door, thank you. there are snacks on the table, and i've just lit the fireplace—so make yourself at home here in my little hobbit hole <33 click on the door to enter, then use the arrow keys to change between rooms (there are three). have fun exploring—the answers are hidden around the hobbit hole. but they should be easy to find—if something lights up when your mouse hovers over it, you can click on it to find an answer. some of these items have connections to the answers, others don't. when you're reading an answer, click to progress to the next slide (and to exit, once you've been through all of the slides). please don't try to use the arrow keys while reading answers, as you may find that you've suddenly teleported between rooms when you put the papers down! everything is rather small in this hobbit-sized home, so please use full screen to ensure you can read everything ;) the forum version of my answers can be found here: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/post/7979259/ and the excerpt link, as promised: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/932820528/ i first came up with this idea just after my recent visit to hobbiton (the movie set where the hobbiton sections of the lord of the rings and the hobbit movies were filmed). and i also liked that it fit with last session's theme (and maybe this session's as well? perhaps the hobbit's furniture comes from ikea?) aaaand it was also just a whole lot of fun to imagine and draw where/how i'd live if i was a hobbit :)) so the design (both interior and exterior) is heavily inspired by hobbiton, and the lord of the rings / the hobbit movies. references for the furniture were found on google and p/nterest. all art, code, and writing by me. thank you very much to certain swcers for their input on the tiny hobbit drawings on the family tree ;) and music is concerning hobbits by howard shore <33 enjoy your stay <3
