i. username @rainwhistle ii. about you hey there, i’m rainy! i used to be hugely in the warriors fandom (for probably three-four years) but i fell out of it around a year ago as i got interested in other things, but recently i’ve met some friends in it and i’ve slowly been entering it again lol. i love volleyball, reading, writing, and drawing, and i also enjoy roleplaying when i get the chance! i’ve been on scratch for nearly eleven years now, but only have been constantly active since about 2020. iii. activity i’ve been sort of inactive recently since my writing camp ended, but that’s only because i don’t really do anything here besides writing/art camps - if i get picked for snakerootkit, i’ll be active again on twc! when active, i’ll check every or every other day for new messages/events and when rping, will check back for new replies constantly until end rp :) iv. how long you’ve been on twc i haven’t joined twc, but @-zodiiac- says that she checked with you and you’re ok with me applying ^^ v. roleplaying/writing experience back in 2020, i was super active on two different wof rps for about four months until both closed down. during 2022-ish, i was active in tfcrp with my character speckledwish. while i’ve not been part of many roleplays, this is because i tend to choose to devote my time to one character at a time. however, i’ve been writing since 2020, and i’d say i’m pretty experienced with writing! vi. why you want the kit you’re probably wondering why i am, all of a sudden, joining a rp again. i’ve wanted to get back into rping for a while but i’ve never been sure where to start/been discouraged by the fact that i’d be going in without my character having any family, but with snakerootkit, i’d have those! this is also because my friend @-zodiiac- is applying for ficuskit! of course i wasn’t going to compete with her for ficuskit, and out of the other two kits that remained, snakerootkit really caught my attention. i absolutely adore his design and when i saw him, i knew that i was going to fall in love with him. vii. why you should have the kit of course i’m not /entitled/ to snakerootkit, but if i got him, i know i’d be able to give him plenty of exciting details, relationships, and a fulfilling life, just what the silly deserves. viii. personality [ simplified + detailed ] -> simplified pos : loyal, sympathetic, passionate neu : protective, intense, quiet neg : cynical, brash, stubborn -> detailed an overly confident kit from the start, snakerootkit is always getting into scrapes and unfavorable situations, moreso than most kits would. his air is that of a stuck-up kit mostly due to his being not inclined to talk to others unless spoken to first, but he really isn't all that presumptuous. instead, he’s quite sympathetic, although he tends to not express this unless he feels to do so would help the situation. snakerootkit is very protective of his littermates and clan in general, sometimes overly so, and this combined with the fact that he’s stubborn and is unlikely to change his position on a subject gets him into more trouble than he’d like to admit. add on his brashness and you’ve got a living and breathing time bomb of a cat - one wrong word from another about someone he cares about, and snakerootkit is mad - MAD mad. he’d do just about anything to protect those he loves, whether that be verbally or physically. he has a passion for life that most don’t see unless looking closely; a quiet passion, one that shows up when he watches the stars trail across the great expanse of the sky and when he lays by slow-moving streams in the dead of summer in a daze, watching flies buzz about the grass. it’s with a quiet intensity that he goes about his daily routine, one that may put off other cats at first but also might end up drawing them to him. while snakerootkit is a sympathetic cat, he is also a bit cynical. this at first glance may seem like it shouldn’t work, but he is not both at the same time. he is mistrusting of other cat’s motives, but once he really believes that what they say about themselves is true, the sympathetic part of him comes into play. ix. roleplay example The sun disappeared beyond the horizon, bringing with it the dim and fuzzy light of dusk. Kits played in the nursery, mewling as they tumbled about. Elders gossiped about the newest romantic developments amongst the younger warriors. The camp was settling into a light hum of activity and voices as cats shared tongues and ate their final meal. But where was Snakerootkit? On the outskirts of camp, just about as far as he was allowed to go, a dark-furred kit lay on a patch of smooth sun-warmed pebbles, basking in the warmth they still emitted. His fur stuck up over his small frame, giving him the appearance of a spiky hedgehog. His amber eyes blinked slowly as he watched clouds on their slow journey across the quickly-darkening sky. Soon the stars would appear and he’d have to trot back down to the loud camp, where pelt colors clashed with patterns that he couldn’t yet attribute to names, and scents blended together to his not-fully developed nose, but here he was calm. The little kit shifted in the now-cool pebbles, sending a few stones skittering down from his high vantage point. He didn’t /want/ to go back. It was only nice once everyone was quiet and he was safely in his nest with his mother and littermates. Maybe he could stay out here until everyone was asleep, and then he could steal back down and carefully nestle into his brothers. Yes, that could work. Maybe no one would notice. The fragile plans he was beginning to build upon were shattered as he heard another cat come jumping up to meet him, and he flicked his tail in mild annoyance - not at the other cat, really, they had every right to be in their own camp - but at himself for not recognizing their scent immediately. As they neared closer, he opened his mouth to scent the air and flipped through his mental library of scents. A soft /oomph/ as they landed a jump, a clattering of pebbles, and they were next to him, and he was cursing himself for not recognizing them. xi. codeword i think that giving him a lil accessory - maybe a duck feather because they’re so soft - would be fun because it would be great contrast against his dark fur lol // credits – design - @grapepanta- (crappy) art - me lol (sorry i have no way to color it, it's digital but on an e-ink tablet so it has to be black and white :') )
