SPOILERS DOWN BELOW!!!!! IF YOU WANT THE PLOT TWIST THEN LOOK AT THE CONTEXT AFTER YOU READ! Context: The protagonist died because of heart-attack years ago and he's now doing everything that he wanted to do whilst he was still alive (and some things he wanted to do as a ghost) but as a ghost so he can finally go to heaven peacefully. In this extract he's trying to calm down his wife so she can move on and live a peaceful, healthy life like how she was when the protagonist was alive.
